Yes, I agree @gennepher. Hopefully we can fix this without surgery. That sounds like the best option @Krystyna23040 , exercise instead of surgery...I am glad that is the way it has turned out...I am sure both of you can keep on top of this situation.
More hugs xx
Yes @Annb I am keeping fingers and everything crossed in the hope that exercise will work.View attachment 73825Good that surgery isn't needed after all. Let's hope that exercise (+ morphine when needed) will do the job.
Thank you @ianpspurs. I will definitely look for someone like that in the local areaThat sounds more positive although morphine implies a fair degree of pain. Hopefully sleep and some (gentle) exercise supervised by a caring, knowledgeable expert could help. Are there any such people in the local area?

Watercolour paints...my Creative for today...
I was awake half the night with sciatica, so I slept in this morning a bit.... it is a lovely sunny day here...
I can't wait until I finish all this sorting and tidying... but there are another two rooms to do yet when I have finished my bedroom.... but I might have a painting break for a couple of days before I tackle the next room when I have finished my bedroom...
A cup of tea needed first before I start tidying and sorting my bedroom....
Take care

Hell of a shock finding out like that.
Hard not to worry.
Hoping times the key factor here.
Enough rest then onto exercises.
Can't believe they'd want or let him do too much right now .
Given give him me & Lauren's best wishes.
Thank you @Lamont DHugs @Krystyna23040
I wish Mr L well and back home asap.
he is in the best place.
and you take care of yourself.
as always my best wishes.
Thank you very much @Krystyna23040 yes it has....Hope the sciatica has eased now @gennepher
I think we all know how you feel @Annb It does seem as though it is one part of you failing after another.I tried to sleep in my bed last night - and failed. Far too painful. So it was another night in the big chair in the kitchen.
BG was 8.2 when I tested it (Libre insisted) about 03.00.
Eye test today. I might need new reading glasses, although my vision seems to come and go (something to do with this mitochondrial disease maybe). Doesn't help that my eyes keep watering and I'm often trying to see through a watery covering to my eyes. Sore and itchy lids as well. Is there anything about me that isn't breaking down?
Even bigger hug than last time:5.5 this morning.
An update on Mr K. He was not so good this morning so had to go to A&E again.hi
This time the doctor told him the truth. He does urgently need an op. Exercise won't sort it. The problem is that he needs a surgeon on duty who has the expertise to do the op and there is a 2 month wait list to see a suitable surgeon. If he is operated on by a surgeon who doesn't have the right expertise they can make his condition worse.
The doctor he saw today is going to try to get him an appointment with the specialist surgeon as soon as possible.
Mixed news there. Good news on the fbg considering the stress you must (both) be under. I hope the doctor you saw today can arrange that appointment with the specialist surgeon. Best wishes for you both.5.5 this morning.

Thank you @gennepher . We have contacted Spire who could do the op within 2 to 4 weeks of seeing the consultant. That looks to be a better way forwardSorry to hear that @Krystyna23040
I hope Mr K gets to see the right surgeon as quickly as possible.
Big hugs for you both...
I can only repeat what the others have said @Krystyna23040.5.5 this morning.

Thank you @Annb I think it will be lots of Panadol. The hospital has given him a huge bottle of morphine but he won't take it. He will need to keep moving but he needs not to overdo it. That will be the hardest part for Mr K.Even bigger hug than last time:

How is the wait to see a suitable doctor to be managed? Is it going to be lots of painkillers and rest or the same but with exercise?
Thank you @ianpspurs. I was surprised that fbg was so good as it is stressful at the moment as I can't bear to see Mr K in pain.Mixed news there.
