What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

That sounds more positive although morphine implies a fair degree of pain. Hopefully sleep and some (gentle) exercise supervised by a caring, knowledgeable expert could help. Are there any such people in the local area?
Thank you @ianpspurs. I will definitely look for someone like that in the local area :)

Watercolour paints...my Creative for today...

I was awake half the night with sciatica, so I slept in this morning a bit.... it is a lovely sunny day here...

I can't wait until I finish all this sorting and tidying... but there are another two rooms to do yet when I have finished my bedroom.... but I might have a painting break for a couple of days before I tackle the next room when I have finished my bedroom...

A cup of tea needed first before I start tidying and sorting my bedroom....

Take care

This site is still refusing to upload photos...

So a link for elsewhere...

Hope the sciatica has eased now @gennepher

I tried to sleep in my bed last night - and failed. Far too painful. So it was another night in the big chair in the kitchen.

BG was 8.2 when I tested it (Libre insisted) about 03.00.

Eye test today. I might need new reading glasses, although my vision seems to come and go (something to do with this mitochondrial disease maybe). Doesn't help that my eyes keep watering and I'm often trying to see through a watery covering to my eyes. Sore and itchy lids as well. Is there anything about me that isn't breaking down?:rolleyes:

5.5 this morning.

An update on Mr K. He was not so good this morning so had to go to A&E again.hi

This time the doctor told him the truth. He does urgently need an op. Exercise won't sort it. The problem is that he needs a surgeon on duty who has the expertise to do the op and there is a 2 month wait list to see a suitable surgeon. If he is operated on by a surgeon who doesn't have the right expertise they can make his condition worse.

The doctor he saw today is going to try to get him an appointment with the specialist surgeon as soon as possible.

I think we all know how you feel @Annb It does seem as though it is one part of you failing after another.
An amazing 6.0mmols this morning. Double checked, the second was a bit higher, but I will obviously choose the lowest.
Feel a wee bit better today. Not so dizzy. Still got an headache.
Phoned docs and now have an appointment Friday morning.
Got an appointment on Monday for my assessment for counselling.
And a visit from mental health nurse from docs. She told me I was right to stop the duoloxitene and Mrs L and I had a good hours chat. Because we hadn't had a visit from her for a while Mrs L didn't know her., Mrs L actually left me in my pit until 8.30, and informing me that the carer would be here soon.
I didn't want to debate the situation, as it seemed a bit childish to remind Mrs L that the carer was for her and not me.
After usual chores and tidying up as such, noticing Mrs L had already put the gammon on. It is beautiful and falling apart on the p!ate. Eldest son is making a diversion on his dog walk to have a sample.
Second of third carer arrived after the mental health nurse. And Mrs L enjoyed the chat.
She joined me afterwards in the sunny back garden. And proceeded to fall flat on her face, scraping her hand. But other than that seems fine. I will keep an eye on her. Mrs L did manage to pull the washing line down, and the washing, which I rescued. And fixed afterwards.
Busy day tomorrow, if it wasn't today!
Oh yeah, have received an email from the docs asking to make an appointment for flu jab.
Best wishes.

How is the wait to see a suitable doctor to be managed? Is it going to be lots of painkillers and rest or the same but with exercise?

Mixed news there. Good news on the fbg considering the stress you must (both) be under. I hope the doctor you saw today can arrange that appointment with the specialist surgeon. Best wishes for you both.

Sorry to hear that @Krystyna23040
I hope Mr K gets to see the right surgeon as quickly as possible.

Big hugs for you both...

I can only repeat what the others have said @Krystyna23040.
I would also ask if another hospital in the country especially in not too far away London could arrange for that certain specialist you need.
Lots of hugs. I certainly know what having your partner being unwell is certainly like!
All my best wishes and my prayers.

A nice sunny day today...

Time for bed...

Night night

Sweet dreams...

Site uploaded not working for me so here is a link...

I had my modest weirdest dream last night, the duoloxitene certainly has my brain doing the weirdest.
it was back when I was a late twenty years old.
I was struggling to get in touch with Mrs L.
I needed for Mrs L to be close to me for whatever reason I'm not sure.
going into and out of pubs, asking where she is from friends, anyone.
I was desperate.
I was worried.
I believed everything had happened to Mrs L, including leaving the kids......!
I went back home kids in bed asleep.
I looked out of the front room window, nothing.
The kitchen window. Nothing!
I was losing hope, I had to go to work in the morning.
I phoned family. I phoned friends. Whoever...
Midnight came and went, stood on the front porch.
I think I smoked.....!
Then, as I had one last look by the nearby pub. Lots in them days!
Mrs L appeared around the corner
I was so relieved, I never had the chance or in the dream got the chance to ask.
She climbed the stairs and without a word went straight upstairs and went to sleep...
I just screamed and woke up!

Thank you @Annb I think it will be lots of Panadol. The hospital has given him a huge bottle of morphine but he won't take it. He will need to keep moving but he needs not to overdo it. That will be the hardest part for Mr K.

Thank you @ianpspurs. I was surprised that fbg was so good as it is stressful at the moment as I can't bear to see Mr K in pain.

My resting heart rate though has gone through the roof.
