That's wonderful news about MrK.5.8 this morning.
I did a brilliant Zoom course yesterday. It was so relevant to the way my teaching is evolving. I immediately ordered her latest book as I feel it will really help me.
We got a letter from Mr K 's consultant yesterday. One sentence really cheered him up - it said Mr K had made a remarkable improvement since his last appointment.
@gennepher Have had similar soup disasters myself. But not making soup atm because it requires long simmering and we have as yet no extraction in the kitchen or anywhere. Am getting agitated about the risk of damp and mould and indeed did find some mouldy chopping boards today, so not unfounded anxiety.Sorry for the soup disaster. I make lots of soup in an ordinary saucepan. Is that an option for you. Being a lazy cook, I bung everything in, add water/leftover gravy/ meat juices, bring to simmer, switch off or reduce heat right down, add lid and let it all brew. Electric cooker so retains heat - with gas you'd have to keep it on simmer.
Thank you for sharing that Alf. It seems to me these are tough times for you but throughout them that thread of humour and positivity of yours shines through as does the love of Mrs A J - God bless her. Of course the Welsh dragon on that mug is important to you - its who we are mate (Angeball rides again). Don't apologise, don't explain. There is too much hiding who we really are in C21st southern England. I can't speak about the rest because I just don't have the bandwidth to try to understand it. Take care and enjoy your hot beverage of choice - whatever your choice of quaint device for creation and consumptionView attachment 74325Good happy national bin day fellow posters and painters.
I thought I wood attach a picture of what fires up the get up and go, where I know knot, but never mind.
Mrs J will soon sort me, me’s and myself out.
I have been shouted at twice this morning and clawed back a few brownie points by helping unload the food delivery, don’t worry the brownie points will not last long. Pictured is my early morning Welsh mug and cafetière.
I hope you all stay warm and find something that’s make you smile.
Sad the pain, insert an o instead of the a.
Now I must go, Mrs J is sorting through some more of my clothes and if I don’t interfere, well I’m ugly with clothes on and I’m worse naked.
Thanks Alf - small point but it is never, never Hotspurs, just Hotspur.@ianpspurs.
Thank you for your kind words.
Good Afternoon all and if you are wondering who or what “ Angeball “ is, I wandered onto google and amongst all the options the most likely option was the reference to a foot the ball manager of Tottenham Hotspurs who had a reputation for being tough.
What a clever cat Midnight is @gennepher. Lovely painting @gennepher
Fbg for Wed 6.8
The next page in my sketchbook...
This is in acrylics...
Very cold today.
Midnight wanted my attention, but he had been hugging me all night and I needed to sit up and do some work.
Cat Midnight was not pleased with me....
And then I noticed he was watching something...
He had his back to me when he has his back to me he is up to mischief. Then I realised my shoulder massager was working and the heat was on all by itself.
Later in the day, I noticed Midnight watching something else... another of my massage/tapping devices moving, he was sitting with his back to me again...
I haven't caught him doing it yet, but it looks like he's learnt to turn on my devices...

Orlando @SlimLizzyThe cat re-distribution system appears to have given me a very large ginger stray cat... so he appears to be my new stray cat. He is quite a handsome looking cat and comes every time I put food down...
Possible names for new ginger cat...
Marmalade
Ginger Snap...Ginge for short
Rusty
Orlando
Which name did you choose? I hope he is ok with all the other cats.
