I wanted to rate this three times. Win for you, Win for Popeye, Hug for the mouse.
@gennepher ..hugs for the lack of sleep.
curious about popeyes needing the approval it seemed to seek, before going all Python on the mouse, though?
hahaha...Love your view of that post, @SaskiaKC ..
Thanks PM...I wanted two cats & I know how difficult it can be to have two adult cats unless they are already bonded...so off we set to Wood Green only to discover it is not the end of kitten season as I'd thought so we now have on reserve two 7 week old kittens...siblings male & female another week before they are old enough to be spayed/neutered then we collect them...there was fierce discussion over the names at one point I thought it might come to blows those girls are hard to please...finally we've settled on Sox & Dash...I need to rein myself in I've already bought them one of those pyramid beds...the girls insisted on some twine mice & a stringy pully thing...in a week or so two little 'uns will be ready to come home...looking forward to it.cant wait to hear which kitties you come home with
Ultimately we didn't go to London JR...I had an appointment with the Wood Green Centre about thirty minutes away from my house I didn't hold out much hope but when we got there they had kittens available...as I said to @PenguinMum I thought kitten season was over...we have two on reserve who will be spayed/neutered and ready to come home in a week or so...there will be pictures as soon as they are settled.that does sound like a most marvellous day is going to be had by all.
3 go mad in London...does have a ring too it...great idea for a book, perhaps ?
A +1 here for the update and COMPULSORY Cat pictures etc., if you'd be so kind..
I do agree that it is lovely that she still feels a connection to our doggie and that you still have the same connection to the Bengal stray you found. Animals/pets do give love selflessly and I do find that most pet owners are really nice people. Of course there are exceptions. Apparently, Hitler really loved his dog. But of course that could just have been propaganda.Loving the lady calling re the dog..how wonderful that connection is still there...( we had similar with the bengal stray we found, lady sends pics and updates to lauren, love her.)
The world is full on people like yourselves, caring, selfless and loving, all brought out in it's finest by the care shown to those we get entrusted with by some divine being in their infinite wisdom.
They say animals/pets give and love unselfishly.
i'm a big believer that simply being around them, helps us to give of ourselves as selflessly as they do.
(though to be fair, cats do abuse that notion, totally, and fully extract the urine, as an old saying, sort of goes.
Good to see you back in the zone and hope the eye is healing well. Feel free to mix it up yourself but the overlap between LC and my tolerance of many foods is getting smaller by the hour.Morning All. 5.3 this morning so back in the zone. [@ianpspurs I just wonder if our bodies get used to sticking to a certain level of carbs and then raise the bar. Might it be worth mixing it up a bit some days I wonder.
Have a good Monday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.
I used to race a 4x4 Suzuki 910 cc soft top, 6" lift, roll cage, janspeed exhaust, race seats and belts, Dihatsu differential and half shafts and transfer box. It was so low geared it could out accelerate a VW Golf GTi from stand still at traffic lights for the first 20 feet used to give them a right shock. Off road racing it was very capable great fun. @OldButBold maybe you can convince Miss Daisy to upgrade the one you drive, what fun you would have.@gennepher ..hugs for the lack of sleep.

also liking the car updates...GMC..hahaha..
can't say the US cars really fitted in over here, once the 70's detailing went out of fashion.
we did get the jeep, obviously, and then they made it a BOX shape, perhaps the ugliest car on the roads over here, i think
(i spotted a suzuki jimny yesterday that to my eye succeeded way better then JEEP did with that style of design.)
I wish our cats would have caught mice, they preferred Koi Carp we often found one flapping at the back door with cats looking very pleased with themselves, could never find where they came from, very embarrassing. He got treated after he had finished the mouse...a sachet of exclusive cat food, a sachet of salmon yoghurt,
first up..the Jimny?
Nice ..liked the one i saw.
2nd..like the analogy, and so true.
do we ever say how well it's working as often as we moan it's creaking or letting us down in some way.
always a wonder to me that the 'Blueprint' comes out anywhere near enough to the original so many times
when you begin to understand just HOW complicated the entire process is.
and i thought as we are admiring the universe around us, this would be a most suitable soundtrack to reflect on natures wonders all around us.
Glorious sound.
A sensible if not scintillating 6.1 today.
it'll do for me.
Another one here guilty of going off piste at the weekend (aka Sunday)
madam wanted a trip out to matallan and i needed a day away from the refurb indoors, so of we went.
Shopping doen, we headed through the southall traffic to a little restaurant the missus found, through work colleagues, , that specialises in Dosa's..two ordered, then back into the traffic to go home and eat...deliciousness personified.
The pancake and curry mix is gorgeous BUT it is the sauces that lift it up into a pure heavenly flavour.
Am aware a few hadn't had these..(pre india nor had i)
oh how i wish we all lived close enough to have a meet up, i'd love to bring some along just so all of you could have a chance to savour this dish, in particular this restaurants version..did i mention how delicious it was..lol
Have a good day all.
and @PenguinMum
welcome back, the 6's liked you, but the 5's LOVE you..
long may that be the norm..
Surfs up, dude....
That was weird him wanting approval/praise/acknowledgement/whatever for catching the mouse.
He got treated after he had finished the mouse...a sachet of exclusive cat food, a sachet of salmon yoghurt, some nice cat biscuits...then sat waiting for more. I told him he had milked it enough...so he went back out on the prowl again...
And yes I feed this cat well anyway!!!
WE get them on the 12th or 13th of November the charity make a point of spaying/neutering them first so they will be ready by then...we're getting excited...although it seems a long way away (it's driving the girls mad) it gives me plenty of time to get ready Saskia.I hope you and the girls are having a wonderful day together and that you will find the perfect kitties who will find you the perfect human for them. Can't wait to see pics.
One of my favourite films Saskia"driving Miss Daisy"
