What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning...a little tired slept okay but went to bed irritated... I knew I shouldn't have watched Question Time...urghh...might have to dash off to work at some point ...I am poised to charge out any second (I wish)...well I might be after another coffee...woke to a 6.0.

5.8 for me this morning. I survived the trip to the dentist. No guns involved thankfully. (No drills either) Money did inevitably change hands though.
I am off for a weekend in Burnley to plan for our summer camp week to there in the summer. We really know how to pick scenic locations! Previously we have been to Manchester, and Wolverhampton.
Lots to do before we go though. The plumber is due to fit an outside tap and service the boiler. I have also got to pack for 2 spoilt dogs who are off to the dog sitters
May get to post over the weekend if I have a signal for my phone.

9.1 this morning at 6 am.

Surprised it’s not higher with my poor eating and chocolate because of stress yesterday.

I realise that all the rubbish in my life recently (continuous Waterboard problems for weeks on end, the new cochlear speech processor with the app on my phone not working which was meant to adjust it, and my gas and electric company accumulating too much funds which was over £500 because I pay by direct debit which I was trying to get back with the help of a friend, and I consequently changed to another new fuel company with my friend helping again but I have a pile of PDF’s to go through urgently from the new company that I have to conform to in order to get the deal I have but I do have slight dyslexia and that combined with this stress means all I can see is rivers of words which I cannot make sense of) and all these things together cascade with the residual upsets from the previous one making the next one seem even worse, and yesterday’s improbable experience of this water in the post office and hunt the parcel was more than the last straw.

I will have my laser op on my eyes because of pressure in a week today, and this cannon of lemons constantly fired at me cannot continue. I need to be chilled and relaxed for that op. I cannot afford for this stress to continually build up. But I cannot do this in my bungalow because every noise and vibration I feel my Brain leaps into panic mode because it doesn’t know or recognise what the noise is and immediately translates it into ‘the workmen are back drilling your new drains again’ causing me to go into panic mode. I am in total useless mode at the moment.

So, in the night I decided to go out first thing this morning to do something different today so it is a physical severing from this place. I am going to St Winefride's Holy Well. It is a peaceful place where I have been before when things are far too much for me. And spent a few hours there. I am not a religious person, but this place has a tranquility.

Anything else in my life will have to wait, including mislaid parcels.

Black coffee and chocolate first...

Take care

good morning all :)

4.4 for me today.

it's looking like it's going to be a mix of sun and showers this morning and pretty chilly so I don't think I'll be getting my summer clothes out this morning :hilarious:

Exercise today will be stair climbing since the stockroom and bathroom at the charity shop are upstairs ;)

hope your day treats you kindly :)

gennepher whoever said' these things are sent to try us' was absolutely right...it's right to prioritise your health particularly with the eye treatment so near...now I never pay my utilities via direct debit for the same reasons often a large credit builds up yet the companies seem to increase the d/debit further still...I really hope the day out brings you calm peace & serenity...if you wouldn't mind sending some of that onto me I'd appreciate it very much.

Ooh PM I'm afraid I was seduced by the weather on the sunny Bank Holiday...what a naive 'sucker' I am...forgot to say the Elizabeth Arden Protectant Cream (original) is spot on...it worked a treat so I have invested in another tube..
