What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all under supervision. Needless to say Mrs J rose from pit / lair early this morning.

A surprising 7.2 for me this morning, makes a change from 6.4's and 8.2's. I think this meter of mine has a sense of humour!

My mates chaos and mayhem turned up this morning, saw that Mrs J was up and breathing fire and promptly ran off. Cowards I say.
Well folks, best avoid Tilehurst, Reading if you can, if not watch out for low flying Mrs J as she goes food shopping, expecting me to complete the job list she has left me, stuff that, I'm going to tinker with my motorbike.

@zauberflote ..yep..i had a bad / good experience with the Amazon.
MiFit tracker bracelet..ordered and sent..delayed as locker full, redirected, then after expecting it another day, it never got delivered, as broken in transit..:***:
Moaned bitterly, as i was keen to get as just after DX.
Sent next one next day..and gratis...good service indeed.
(Coincidently my BEST Buy last year..Mi-FIT3..so tempted to step up to a more expensive smart watch, a few on my radar, but so far not seen any reviews that can match it for battery duration and durability, at the moment, sadly )

@gennepher ..sadly your wasn't as good.
the only take i get from that for myself these days ONCE i calm down is 'No one died'.
not great at the time, but in the grand scheme of things best i can ever think of.

@HarrisonK .
Wonderful relationship you spoke of...(now how do i get my lovely lady to relocate..mmmhh )
JUST KIDDING..:watching:......honest ;)

Loving the honesty on here..our steph has friend in the spectrum, so i only know a little, forgive me if insensitive.
I assume, that aspie, is similar to the N word, as in ok if it's from your grouping, but offensive if used by others ?.

However our relationships grow and prosper, as long it has love and respect as it's the mainstays, with support for each other as it's backbone, distance, age, sex, ethnicity, blah, blah, shouldn't be any impediment to true love.imho.

@Bubbsie..i'm the same with any of the 'Reality'..( hahahah.).TV shows.
HATE all the arguing and shouting now (never liked before, but now it really irks me and gets me all unsettled)
i try to avoid... But SWMBO, loves em...:***:
if i pop in and catch any of the shows, i have to leave the room and go calm myself down a little.
(Sure i've broken a little, somewhere along the line of DX :sorry: )

@Diane_56, if i've missed it apologies, but welcome to our little corner of the forum.
as Harrison says, those ARE magic Numbers first thing..

And @trick60..You KNOW what that means....:)
Grab your board, DUDE..Surfs UP,....:D

Thank you for your words.
I was pushed beyond endurance over this yesterday.
I do need to put something in writing over this mess.
My gate is locked now, so no one should be able to enter my private property without my say so....,
>^..^<

Hi @gennepher I completely believe everything you say but my goodness what’s different story. recently my neighbours had a block , he water board along with my neighbour came and asked for my permission and explained everything that they were doing.

Hugs, more hugs !

Thank you. Most aspies I know (and on the forums) don't mind being referred to as 'aspie' by neurotypicals, in fact, there is a move by the professionals to 'lose' the term in favour of high functioning or neurodiverse, but most of us prefer aspie :)

Good morning fellow testers .. I can’t remember posting yesterday but I was 7.2 ( no idea why) but last night we went out.. we were invited to a new menu launch event at one of our fave Indian restaurant/cafe in Sheffield. # urban choola I didn’t skimp at all. I’ll spare you all the details. On the menu it did state that special dietary requirements would be catered for if 24 hours notice is given. On leaving I asked about diabetic requirements ( note I asked on leaving ) and yes they can do cauliflower rice and provide carb lists. It was really nice. Anyway I was 7.3 this morning , several wahoos and celebratory whoops

My dad has just sold his 10 classics to a motorbike museum in Scarborough. He’s still got 3 to rebuild. Happy tinkering and polishing

I’ve just caught up with this thread

@Goonergal, read an article about you last week. The picture was you but they used a normal name ..

@jjraak couldn’t open the video alas

@DJC3 love the idea of the dragon onsies for GOT I’m gutted that I didn’t think of it ..

Happy sunshine days are en route peeks keep the faith !

ooh, just checked..working for me

you using windows,
or mac/linux ?

Its the stupidity I object to jjraak...these are the influencers & government officials in charge...dammed scary.

well you know very few actually answer any question ( honestly or dishonestly ), i've found
it's more about making their OWN point about any interruption to there flow of effluence pouring forth
then to answering anything specific posed to them.

an honest politician..few and far between sadly, mainly because someone, somewhere would be offended by the answer..
and that's the main thing these days it seems..what's best for the 'Group' will always fall down now thanks to the PC world we all live in ... even if that is to the detriment of those offended.
and no politico will willing endanger the golden trough they sip from to risk it.

(steps down. soapbox, slid away..slides quietly off stage left...

move along now, move along...nothing here to see....)

Just had breakfast.
Lidl do a greek feta cheese and chili, etc all in one dish, grilled cheese (1.7 gm per 100 )..mmhh,yum
coleslaw, tomato....

so sugars MAY be elevated and i AM a tad manic, so my steph says..:hilarious:

FBG this morning.
5.3......Yesterday 5.3..., this week all low 5's...yehaaw...:D

Live long and prosper peoples of the thread.

Off to Guys Dental hospital with my steph..she's having 3 wisdom teeth ( impacted ) being taken out..:sorry:
I Pray all goes well and she recovers as gently as possible.:nurse:

Good numbers @jjraak. Best wishes for your Steph as that brings back interesting memories. I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed there. Hope Steph fares well - I will share my experience another time.

06:30 5.55=5.6? Got up early to take constipated kitty to vet (my apologies to those who are eating now) to find there was currently no need. Rescheduled for tomorrow just in case. Not supposed to rain much if at all. Radar shows scattered showers but my right S-I joint (which shares its news with my entire right lower body....) tells of tonight's approaching cold front and low pressure fronts after that. Ow. I mean, it's great to be able to predict the weather and all but. Just ow.
@harrison one of my kids is the IT guy for the Dept of Public Works of a local jurisdiction, and one of the reasons he enthuses over this job is that they have remote control toys! Who knew there were little moon buggies crawling around in the water mains dx-ing problems! Then he comes home and drives wife nuts staying up til all hours gaming with his honkin' big gaming computer. We are all so fortunate that he married his wonderful high school sweetheart who has been his personal assistant, key-finder, secretary, social director, and Doesn't Mind his frequent over the top rants and goings on. We all thank his grade 3 teacher for lending us her computer over that summer. She pretty much predicted the career that would allow his rampant ADD with H brain and mouth to be an advantage.
@Diane_56 and I'd bring the champagne to that party! Well done! Oh I see from comments you might be T1. So, listen to fellow T1-ers, not me!
Congrats @Freema !!!!
@dunelm I only understood your post up to the word "weekend" so I'll take your word that you're Doing Something Manly Bonding-ish.
@Bildad congrats on no drills! Sorry about money though, and glad nobody got any accidental projectiles. Have fun prepping for summer camp week!
@gennepher the perfect(ly horrible) storm continues. But oh what a perfect place to visit! I hope it's quiet for you. IMG_8313.jpg

@geefull that's great exercise! Mr ZF has come up with a stairs routine at his office. He goes up and down the stairs backwards, among other weird things. Empty handed of course!
Welcome @Folasade ! Yes I'd be very happy with 5.3!!
@alf_Josiah hope that feline hasn't returned! My meter also has a sense of humor, and I am really wondering if a lower battery reserve causes it to give lower readings you know, like a flashlight with weak batteries peters out...
@jjraak I use Amazon lockers for returns unless the ones near me are full, but not for pickups. My deliveries generally come via commercial-- either UPS or mail, and they are going to be driving down my street daily anyway, so why add to the congestion on the main drag at the top of my 'hood?

6.6 this rainy morning.

@zauberflote I almost wonder if this kitty-constipation thing is something in the water. I had to take the KittenCat in for the same thing last fall; this past Monday had to take her back in for reverse peristalsis (trying to be sensitive to any who may be eating at the mo'). She has been fine ever since, eating like the proverbial horse. I hope your kitty is all well again now.

My calendar-phone is beeping at me to remind me to go and do whatever its calendar says I had planned to do.
