Fbg 6.9

I had the chicken I said I would have yesterday, but I am going off meat. I have been for a few weeks now.

I have a feeling the cat might be offered the rest of the packet of chicken today. I might go for fish today.

So black coffee and nuts and a tiny bit of oven dried fruit now, then fish midday, I think.

Even if I had any crumpets in the cupboard today, I have gone off anything carby like that.

Hugs for all of you who need them.
Have a good day today. It is cold and windy out there.
Take care
=^••^=

Straight 6.0 for me today.

Computer work today as I obtained a new client for my social media 'job', it's a bit more than I expected as it will provide two full days of work covering 34 small profiles within one large business profile. I have a couple of young aspies on standby, they are chomping at the bit to break into the market so it might be a nice opening for them. Life can be a funny old sausage

Morning all. Fbg of 5.9 today so very downbeat start to the day - no motivation to head for the gym atm. Yesterday's news that that Portugeezer has somehow been given the chance to make a bad situation worse didn't do much for my humour - or that of thousands of other liilywhites. No bins, no frost, gorgeous, cloudless blue skies and sunshine here. Seems lc woe doesn't work any better whatever the context. No fan of crumpets me but reading all this makes the allure of croissants and danish pastries very strong - maybe experiment with champagne and no OJ today just for the sake of science?
@SaskiaKC Psalm 62 is very timely this morning -enjoy your day with the kitten cat.

5.4 today. I’m with you on the croissants and Danish pastries @ianpspurs I was only telling my daughter yesterday about the fabulous apple Danish we used to sell at the bakery where I had my first Saturday job, they were heavenly.
@OldButBold my first smile of the day was brought on by your ‘Life can be a funny old sausage’!
I’m off to see the film Judy ( about Judy Garland) this morning at the old fogeys showing. Free coffee and biscuits for those that want them.
Yesterday I saw the social prescribing nurse at our surgery - they offer some cracking things. I’m getting a 12 week course with a personal trainer then can join a local gym at greatly reduced price. Also an Eden project pass to go whenever I want but they offer social walks for people with various health conditions if I want to meet people. There is also ‘forest craft’ art, yoga, all sorts of stuff, it’s a really good scheme.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all, been to the Christmas Market at York on Tuesday, very underwhelmed if I wanted to buy a flavoured Gin I was laughing as there was lots of it and I was teaching First Aid yesterday so a bad couple of days! Well doomy has been throwing 5's and 6's at me with abandon, I have been dodging like a politician answering questions on anything! This mornings fight revealed a 4.9, and I have to endure death by PowerPoint (I'm developing the presentation) so another boring day lies ahead. Enjoy your Thursday everyone and take care.

Good morning everyone from the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of eldest granddaughter off school and can I stay over at your house pulled in a smart 5.0 this am

Granddaughter off school because 50% of school population now off with mnemonic plague or something. It’s all BODMAS to me. Granddaughter doesn’t have it but the LEA are being cautious and perhaps a deep clean may be needed. Whatever happened to Vic and a hankie. I think that the real reason was that Boris was in town, scoffing fish and chips and talking gibberish.

Anyhow latest TT is now home so we will be calling round later to practice cooing.

On the family en France devant, my bionic mum went into hospital yesterday to have a shoulder replacement operation. All in and out on the same day. So, that’s both knees, her left foot, some computer chip in her lower back that tweaks a nerve and now her left shoulder - This infatuation with the the Terminator film franchise is getting out of hand. Still, tres amusant when checking in at airports. She does have a card that explains it all but airport security work on some sort of deep programming with very few if/and/or type gates.

Just heard squeaking floorboard sounds from the gods of job lists and assignments so best get the kettle on.

Morning All. I am really downhearted today with a 6.5 after another careful day of food culminating with an omelette. I do have stressful situation atm and wish my bg could give me a break. Went to the solor to update my will yesterday and we got onto the need to make Powers of Attorney. I know it makes sense but Hells Bells!
Tomorrow I have my next eye injection to look forward after the last one went so spectacularly wrong. Alright I’ll stop moaning now. At least am going to see No 1 son next week.
Have a great Thursday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

Hugs @PenguinMum
Life is throwing you a lot at the moment.
You are over stressed.
Carry on with your careful days of food.
It will pay off in the long run.
More hugs
And 'moan' as long as you want on this thread.
By the way I don't look on it as moaning. It is letting some of that steam out before it builds up....

Morning...still battling the cold/flu' monsters the paper tissues are disappearing like crazy I should have bought the soft & gentle ones...I have a nose like Rudolph...back on the Lemsip Max/Beechams the house smells of Vicks & Olbas Oil (Plumpy loves it)... a large pot of chicken soup going on the stove in the next half hour...I wonder if these things linger longer as a result of the diabetes?...woke to an unsurprising 6.7 no doubt the residue of almost 8 days of syrupy cough/cold cures...a little light housework some admin but not moving from the house if I can avoid it.

Sorry all, but up early and still running late.

An ok 8.8 for me this morning, better this than the 4.0 I had yesterday evening.

I remember crumpet and crumpets if Mrs J caught me even thinking about crumpet.....best left in said.....

Must go sorry, I would love to stay and waffle (s ) on but.
Enjoy your post bin day.

Have a hug from afar with the hope that eye injection goes better tomorrow and the certainty that No 1 son will vastly improve your spirits and bg levels. IMHO, bg control and health in general is far less mechanistic than food/carbs in bg level/cholesterol/hr/longevity out - certainly N=1 if not totally Nolens Volens. You take care and for once, maybe?. heed the great philosopher Mr James Bay and come on let it go. BTW, I forgot earlier - it is Thursday - I don't wear makeup on Thursday, cos who I am is enough - now, poolside and sun beckon so you guys play nice and share your toys.

Oh PM that’s so frustrating after you’ve been so careful with food. We all know that stressful situations can have a huge impact on bg so it’s not surprising that yours is a bit higher at present. The thought of the eye injection alone would be enough to send it skyrocketing I think.
I agree with @gennepher it’s not moaning it’s letting off a bit of steam and venting your frustration, do it all you want.
We have also have sorted out POA but I feel quite happy about it - one less thing to worry about. All the girls plus MrC are involved so hopefully that keeps us safe from financial fraudsters at least.
