What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Already got one of those. It's called a hubsta. Had it 33 years and has taught itself it 'switch off' when necessary. Funnily enough the word diabetes usually shuts it down completely ;-)

hahahaha "Hubsta"...love it.

we did try out the male version once, i quite liked it.

asked it a question and it gave a nice explanation,
Lauren enjoyed it less So.

With Rolling eyes all i heard her say, was "mansplaining"....

I thinks it's all part of her superpowers, and that must of felt like Kryptonite

well can't get in a word if someone else is talking...

but on the bright side she does fart the least of us..

i put that down to the talking means she can never build up sufficient internal pressure ,

But i MUST state..it IS Just a Theory.....

Female model has the same defects. Mind you, mine is 35 years old so newer models may have fixed the problem.
Same here had mine since I was 15 in 1965, let someone else do the maths. Mind you she must have had an update as now she responds on second asking with, "You don't talk loud enough"

Edit.. Mine just responded on second asking with a new phrase. "It's because you mumble"

I believe they could get away with anything!
They get away with everything PM...the wicker baskets in 'their' room packed with the girls teddies are scattered teddies have been attacked viciously on the bed ...socks all over the house as they like to hunt them...they have just turned their little noses up at yet another brand of premier dry kitten food (the second one rejected) just now I saw one of my best bras disappearing around the corner of the kitchen the little so and so's brought it all the way down from upstairs!

I have heard that there is a male version of Alexa about to be launched; it ignores everything you say.

There is a Samuel L Jackson version voiced by the man himself, currently available in the US but hopefully here soon

My Alexa is very useful, she runs my calendar which is synced to my phone, pc, iPad, and watch. I can book my appointments with her and she gives me reminders. She also reads my Kindle books, plays my music collection, calls or messages my friends, useful for shopping, and is one of the best secretaries I've had.

I did do the voice training a few times and she never misses what I say, I also have to delay function on so I can ask her more than one thing without her keyword.

However, I should say nice things about Siri or she'll get in a huff

Answer to prayer this morning that came in a dream, so now I have plenty to keep me pleasantly busy until I hear from the small-town apartment manager about my hoped-for move.

I love doing research.

FBG 7.3 after a fairly low-carb day yesterday.

Thank you. The armchair and footstool I tried in the furniture store on Tuesday were huge and roomy. I like a chair I can curl up in as well as stretch out in. And with the armchair-and-footstool I wouldn't have to strain my calf muscles pushing the footrest back into place as I did on the recliners I tried that day.

Thank you.
You have just reminded me that my father's recliners were both La-z-boys, and had a lever with which you could return the footstool to its closed position. The ones I tried in the store Tuesday had little handles for some reason instead of levers -- OK for reclining the chair but not good for tucking the footrest in again when I wanted to get up.
Note to self: look for recliners with levers!

Thank you. That chair looks very comfy, and the room is lovely!

Comfy chairs ...

This looks sort of like my mother's rocking chair, which was a lot roomier than some modern ones I've seen. It was mostly her sewing/embroidering chair, but I know it was also great for sleeping because it was the chair she and my father rocked my sister and me to sleep in when we were little. I can remember Papa singing "Bye baby bunting" ...

You and @Krystyna23040 are right about the bins ... sorry ... my excuse is that I was up way past my bedtime and just saw the chase scene. Oh, well, at least they were staying in their lane and not drifting into the oncoming one ...

I was looking for the Disagree icon for that last line ...

Thank you.

Hmm ... maybe I should go looking for something like an adult-size car seat?

Bless you but whilst all have fallen short ..... seems I have made a special effort to fall just that little bit shorter

I'm still looking for that Disagree icon ...

OK -- found it ---

Haha yes I measured to see what 30g cereal looked like too - bit of a shock, and certainly wouldn’t keep hunger at bay til lunchtime. In fact a whole bowl of Rice Krispies didn’t fill me up for more than an hour.
