That's the place. I taught at Downham Market High School for a while. Those villages are picturesque, tranquil and Norfolky. I guess when we move into Suffolk we may be sworn enemies of Norfolk. @Krystyna23040 excepted.
Ooh bonfires. Build to include firelighters, pressed eco bricks and plenty of wood. Start with the plumbers brazer. Liberally sprinkle with engine oil from time to time. Poke and turn with the extra long fork designed for the job. Season with a soupçon of recklessness. Best with a large garden and acres of space on all sides. I will miss bonfires.
If the "Big Fisherman" had a similar physique to Charlton Heston, he might be useful to have around..I hear ya. 100-mile move for me, and I'm hoping there will be enough of me to pack and move enough of "mine" to manage in the new place. Right now I'm tempted to return Mama's desk to the friend who kept it for me for several years until I could send for it; pack up the KittenCat, my guitar and teddy bear, and book an Uber.
I do wish I had a couple of strong men to lift and load the heavy stuff -- I wish Timothy and John Mark were available, and Onesimus, if he's free ...

Lovely daffs but are you saying they’re not real? Even lovelier boy with a heart shaped nose.As you can see as I promised, I would get some daffodils in my garden to show spring has arrived here as well, but the garden centre let me down
However, the £1 shop was more productive...

And Popeye is out here with me. I do not think he is very keen on the great outdoors alone at the mo...

Sorry about the sideways image of Pops. iPad is not laying ball at the mo...
just going to redistribute those articulate daffodils...they will look almost real within the green vegetation...
Thanks and you are right it is better to be out or at least doing jobs outside. Hope your prediction comes true.Even though you want to sell your house it's difficult having strangers trawling through it...I never stayed home during any of the viewings at my flat...I just didn't want to watch the reaction & couldn't bear hearing any comments made about my space...it's difficult lwts hope there aren't too many viewings before you get a good offer...likely to have unsettled you.
Yes, sadly not one person passed by for me to try and convince how great painting fences is, neighbours all kept a low profile. Painted 7 fence panels with 2 coats each, had to move many shrubs and clematis away first and brush off green stuff but all done just have to put all trellis back tomorrow.Have you ever read Tom Sawyer?
Oh no. Totally forgot about some of the drawbacks of living with people around me. Painting fences, burning things in those tiny bin things, curtains. Too late now but losing its lustre rapidly.Yes, sadly not one person passed by for me to try and convince how great painting fences is, neighbours all kept a low profile. Just watching another pink sunset behind the hill in front of my house, all the Oak trees are like black fingers against the silver and pink sky, magical.
@ianpspurs love bonfires, had one recently, burning paperwork, used garden refuge burner. Enjoy whilst we can the zero carbon lobby will put an end to such pleasures.
Thank you.
I thought of you yesterday when I tried my second cup of coffee black.
I think I need more practice with that ...
@DJC3 @PenguinMum @SaskiaKC and everyone else who have mentioned our Labrador Moet. Mrs MC doing lots of research on K9 diabetes and says VETS are more enlightened than NHS as many mention making sure that treats are all Low Carb and it's a good idea to regularly monitor the pets BG by investing in a Monitor and taking blood from pricking their ear. Ouch!
.
Nope @PenguinMumLovely daffs but are you saying they’re not real? Even lovelier boy with a heart shaped nose.
Yes testing all the time when I remember. Bloods usually lowest around lunchtime when they are either in the 4s or early 5s before meals. Generally around upper 5s or low 6s 2hrs after. Numbers were up but didn't associate it with stress as I had experimented with a piece of Pomelo. Bloods up from 5.3 to 7.3 and stayed in the 6s until late afternoon. Its ages since I have seen anything in the 7s so not best pleased. Not too bad yesterday but up again tonight. 6.3 before evening meal but where that came from I haven't a clue.Great fbg but shame about the laptop issues. Do you check your bg before/after food just curious if the laptop stress has affected things. Best wishes.
Thank you I great pleasure from the art you and @gennepher treat us with. I hope when the shock of Moet’s reality recedes you will find a way, and I’m sure you will, to help him live with it. Although my oets of choice are my cats I dont dislikedogs and am full of respect for people who love their pets whatever species. Good luck to Moet (great name btw!).Here is my daily watercolour sketch, inspired by a waterfall I pass on my Muddy Cycle Rides. Old Victorian bridge with wonderful dressed sandstone blocks, goes int farmers field, nothing to stop you falling off, good old sensible Victorian health and safety, use you common sense. A5 about 45 minutes..

@gennepher and @PenguinMum the Daffs I posted a few days ago were real, that's why I was so flabbergasted far too early but there they were in MILs garden.
@DJC3 Moet is a typical Labrador puts up with anything he's a good old boy.
My first offer fell through PM...viewings had been slow & sparse just before the exchange of contracts the buyer pulled out I was devastated thought I'd lose this one...got myself together again pressed on put it back on the market...the next four days were manic viewing after viewing...several offers above list price...the last viewer was late we assumed she wasn't coming I was home when she arrived...I showed her round she & her sister bought it for well above list price...there is a buyer out there for your house no doubt about that. Thanks and you are right it is better to be out or at least doing jobs outside. Hope your prediction comes true.
I’ve been trying and failing for a few months with black coffee, then suddenly it was ok and I wasn’t struggling to drink it, in fact I actually think I prefer it now!! Same happened with sugar in tea, I tried for years to give it up, then decided enough was enough and stuck with it and now I can’t imagine drinking tea with sugar. Good luck, keep at it, even if you only manage half a cup black, by the time you put cream in, you’ll only be using half as much.
