What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning fellow travelers on the pin prick express. The wonder wheel of laughter and mirth chuckled out a bright and shiny flat 5 at 0600 as I sprang from my slumber only to find that the imps of “let’s just bash him with a mallet” had, during the night, rewarded me with a nice farmyard sounding cough and a runny nose just before we fly out to lands-are-grotty with the offsprings and their own offsprings.
So, what’s the best remedy for a cough? I’m thinking scotch but then I just keep falling over.
Have a great day if you can and if you are a Pastifarian, happy Parrot Pondering Day.

Dont know whats going on with bgs today been going hypo all day despite minimal insulon this diabetes a real pain sometimes

Sweetie bless you my friend
For me I got the shakes this morning and tested at 5.5 felt like a hypo but not in hypo range but I have been in double figures for some time so was shocked by a 5.5

Have a good day folks enjoy the sun

Well, its a not entirely unsurprising 6.7 from me - having been up since 3am with D&V . Could have been yesterday’s lunchtime mussels or the fact that I sat in full sun for 2 hrs then came home and cut the lawn also in full sun. I never usually sit out in the sun without suncream or a hat at least. I was trying to get my vit D level up as a recent blood test said I was low. Think I’ll just take a supplement in future.
@Bubbsie and @jjraak I laughed at both your cat comments -
. I don’t think I’ll ever understand them but can’thelp but delight in their non conformist attitude.

I never sit or walk about in full sun DJC if I can avoid it...it makes me feel sick...so I can empathise entirely...the supplement sounds like a safe bet.

Cats...Loveable, Cute, funny, cuddly..but one of the most ungrateful creatures on gods planet...:hilarious:

Long may that remain so.
When the new toilet seat arrived I watched Churchill try for at least half an hour to squeeze himself into the box it came in...which was no more than three inches in depth...eventually he admitted defeat...by that time the box had been condensed to at least half it's size.

Morning All. 6.1 after a restless night with some pain on brow above and cheekbone below my dodgy eye and feeling nauseaus. Of course this could be nothing to do with my dodgy eye and just coincidence. Just wondered @BibaBee if any of this sounds familiar with Mr B? My first injection next Wed.
Any way slow start to day. Hoping to start meal plan/shopping for weekend. Youngest son visiting later.
Have a great day everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

Sounds rotten PM I find that any sort of pain will make me feel nauseous. I hope the injection helps, even though you are probably not looking forward to it.
Have a lovely day with your son, how far away does he live?

Yes, Ginger. It’s one of the ingredients that I use to make my daily tumeric tea. From reading the article I will be upping the amount used.
I also make pickled ginger to have with salads.
As ABBA once said, “than you for the music”...

@gennepher that sounds like such a frustrating day out, such thoughtlessness from the shopkeepers. I can’t believe the customer wagging her finger at your chocolate though - unbelievable!
When my dad used to shop in M&S on his mobility scooter, getting through the clothing department on the way to the food hall was hard as the rails were too close together. He used to delight in speeding up through them and ended up dragging blouses and trousers in his wake. I’m sure they used to put a member of staff on watch for him eventually, and someone would have to scurry after him picking up the scattered garments.

Don’t tempt me...I am with your Dad on that one...

On the subject of cats and places to rest...my two have two plush beds by the radiator in the sitting room (for winter), lots of soft fleecy rugs on various chairs and very comfy bunk beds in the urility room next to the boiler for nighttime. But they yearn for the human 100% wool rug draped over the back of the sofa and beg for it to be unfolded..refusal is pointless.

Thanks so much I do feel better but just not right. Our youngest is now back from Bath to write his dissertation over the summer and try and get some p/t work. However he is living with his girlfriend about 20 miles away, she is in her first job and has a flat. He dips in to us every now and again which is lovely. Eldest son is moving to Dublin to work by the end of June though he has been in London for several years.

We have made it over Hump Day, and the weekend is just over the horizon.

6.3 on my meter this morning, KittenCat on the bed, and Magnum on the TV.

@Cumberland thank you for posting those lovely pics.
