What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I have not managed to finish my watercolour, sorry! Mountain Bike ride with SIL was a little over 4 hours, you just can't waste such a wonderful day, views to north Staffordshire were stunning today and the heathland offered such dry conditions and was a perfect delight, then the ride home along the Mill race 2 miles of Marsh Marigolds, Iris, Red Campion, Hawthorn and the smell of Lilac. Then the afternoon in the garden in such Mediterranean warmth, a perfect day.

I did make an effort but Garden, coffee, sun and wine just prevented progress as you can see, I even had to sit in a shady part of the garden as it was so hot.

Maybe finish it Wednesday after OAP forage at Tesco....

@gennepher thats a good strong pastel, I reckon that Canson Paper must have been a joy to work on fro. The result you achieved.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist for the compliment
Yes, it was great to work on.

That is really nice to see your paint working area in the garden.

The cycle ride sounds amazing!
:)

Good Morning and a 6 for me today.

Lovely day again here. Tesco forage first thing then the day should be mine to do with as I will.

Now Off to get into training for the OAP Slalom. :joyful:

Be careful, stay wise and make a mark on your day.

5.9 and it's going to be a hot one today. Garden on the agenda, one day I might actually just sit in it for a change ;)

Think I'll have an early start and be done before it gets too hot, enjoy your day :)

Phew what a scorcher - in prospect. My fbg today 5.2 - :meh:. Slew of other key metrics in some very sub-optimal places which is, hopefully, due to a heady blend of hay fever and trying too hard. End of sensor 1 and for the money I have learned it is more convenient than a finger prick. In fairness, until I wear one longer and have an A1c I can't say much more. Take care of all those you hold dearest and those you would hold just as dear if better acquainted. Supine press and breathtaking insouciance of the cabal at the top of GB (a mythical Southern) England PLC scare me poohless for my grandchildren. Ah well, Waitrose is still well stocked and it is still Easter Season . Toodle pip chums.

Good morning everyone from the bright azure and a rare contrail in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of digging out the teppanyaki grill came in at a nice rounded out to unknown decimal points, 5.0 this am. 22 over 7 was a far simpler way of dealing with things.

Kefir - well the grains that had been festering in the fridge, swimming in milk for a few months have had to go. They insisted on working far too fast even when shoved into far too much milk and became acidic. So, thawed some out from the freezer and we are now back into production.

Looks like scorchio today, well a proposed 24 degrees up here is mind blowingly hot - I know, heat is all relevant so today I will be testing the relevance of heat transfer for the development for sustainable sun bathing.

Have the very best day that you can. Koffy calls.

Pastel for today's daily painting challenge.

This one was from some pastel paintings I had cut out of a book on how to paint pastels. I was running out of space for my books, and so about 10 years or more ago, I chose a pile of books I wasn't so bothered with (some I gave to friends, but I was still left with some) and cut out the pictures and photos I liked in them, and then put them in a shoe box....it was a couple of shelves worth of books. Some of the printed pages were cut out as well to make drawings and illustrations on them. But I never got that far, they are in the garage somewhere.

I chose this one because I wanted to try a person. People are not my thing...as you can tell. I worked on this figure half an hour and then gave up. I seriously do not like people in my paintings. Pastel took nearly 2 hours overall. I used Canson pastel paper again.

I need to go and put the washing out now. Then put the parasols up, and try and keep cool out there...

Morning...wow so hot here this morning sun is shining so brightly through the windows had to draw the curtain so I can see the screen...Lola seems to have perked up a little off out in the sunshine but need to keep an eye on her...a quick trip out today for coffee while socially isolating but lots of Lindt chocolate to deliver...woke to a 6.5 need more coffee...keep safe everyone.

Well bloods 5.2 this morning which I am relatively happy with. Trying an experiment to cut down on the amount of protein I have been eating as I think I have been eating too much. May be working....Hopefully....We shall see.... HbA1c due sometime in July....Perhaps.

Got the plumber in this morning installing a new outside tap. We are making sure we are self distancing so all to the good. It will be a job well done and one that has been on the wish list for a few years.
