What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

meeting was so mesmerising as I ticked off each point from the discussion points that I had received the previous day that I have decided to share my copious notes with you all below.

Kimchi making today, a bit of zing. Have the very best day that you can manage. Koffy time.

Will we see some more pencil drawings of yours?
Please :)

Pair of grey partridge by the gate this morning. :wideyed: :watching: Wonder if they could be tempted into the kitchen? ;)
No housework yesterday, but digging in the garden instead, and some cooking. used all the eggs. Today i should make lemon curd. Have the three egg yolks neccessary, but no lemons. Trip to the village shop today then, seems likely.
@dunelm am picking the courgettes young...only me here to eat them and four plants. Could end up with them at every meal otherwise. If getting a buildup in the fridge, then i pick tiny ones quarter lengthways, sprinkle with herbs, drizzle with oil, roast. Delicious and slows production for a few days. Will be experimenting with different recipes as well, looking for freezable things.
just checked weather, heavy rain forecast and soon, maybe not going shopping today.
All sounds good and I think spicy roasted courgettes would go well with partridge. I use courgettes to replace pasta either in ribbons cut on a mandolin or spiralised. I sometimes freeze them like that in zip lock bags - just enough to drop them, frozen, into soups and stews. You could even roast them and then freeze them or even roast and then preserve in olive oil.

Morning...I turn my back for a moment & this page runs away with posts think I've caught up now...cold here today more rain I think and we need it even my poor tatty old garden looks slightly resplendent after the showers yesterday...Pink Gin last night several & lots of good talking needed that no hang over so more gin on order...today my new tablet is arriving so lots of frustrated expletives will be thrown about today as I set the thing up my clumsiness with any kind of technology is legendary I have to get a grip as this is for my remote work from home...one coffee in another brewing I may go mad & switch the heating on just for an hour to take the edge off...been up for three hours forgot to do FBG no point now I must get my routine back...off to pour coffee & have a little breakfast...keep safe everyone.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are watching the " R " number and infection rates.

A very surprising 6.3 this morning, I was expecting an 8 to 9. dinner last night was an experimental dish, maybe that meter is up to something.

It looks like the artists on this thread have competition, a nice pencil sketch from @dunelm. Well done.
Well fellow posters have a great day.

My painting for today.
A pastel on a grey paper.
Took an hour and a half.
It is on half an A4 sheet of paper.
It is supposed to be raining now, but it is dry outside. The wind keeps changing direction.

I like your painting ,- very atmospheric. Actually it looks quite eerie.

Good morning everyone from a continuation of dampness and tree rustling in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of yet another tin of siege meat from granny’s lock down locker and turned into something edible with the aid of something green and the contents of a masala dabba came in at a rounded down for statistical purposes 5.0 this am.

Our first zoom PPG meeting took place yesterday. It does work quite well unless someone is still connected to the wonder web by a bit of wet string. The meeting was so mesmerising as I ticked off each point from the discussion points that I had received the previous day that I have decided to share my copious notes with you all below.

So your PPG meeting wasn't a complete waste of time because you produced some really nice artwork during the meeting.

We had such a lovely walk around Sheringham Park today. Weather was perfect with hazy sunshine. Although the rhododendrons were past their best they were still stunning. We walked over 4 miles up and down the hills and there were some lovely views of the sea in the distancr.

good evening all :)

4.4 yesterday and 4.4 this morning

yesterday was shopping day, not too bad but definitely busier, about 50% mask wearing ;)

took mum's shopping over and did a couple of little jobs in the house for her too, then we just managed to finish eating our soup outside before it rained :)

It's been a lovely day here today though so we got a couple of jobs in the garden done and managed to speak to a few neighbours as they passed taking their exercise, some days we hardly see anyone, it may depend on the time of day perhaps.

When we were shopping I picked up a big pot of Lidl full fat yoghurt as usual and the pot has changed, now taller and thinner with a flimsy plastic cap. That is a bit of a pain, I'd got used to a good supply of useful, well capped, reusable small buckets :hilarious:

Another thing which has changed though is that the carb. content has gone from 3.2g/ 100g to 4.6g/100g, now just slightly lower than Asda's which has 4.9g/100g.

Some seriously good looking baking going on here just now, must have another go at LC scones ;)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@gennepher - like both the pastels, the first is very intense with the deep reflections in the water and the second has a lovely cool atmospheric pallet :)

@Muddy Cyclist - your Sherbrook picture is strong and I like the textures on the tree trunks and the distant hillsides :joyful:
I look forward to seeing the full treatment of what is already a very pleasing sketch of the Sherbrook valley :)

@dunelm - yours are definitely more interesting than my doodles :)

Art catch up for today - both are slightly bigger than A5.

no 1 - emulating (I think), Paul Young, seen on Pinterest but sadly can't find the original reference :sorry: I found the 'naive' style and light but colourful pallet pleasing.

no 2 - on the road home after the rain.
