Painting from yesterday finished, sun rise in Dove Valley from a photograph I was sent. I hope the farmer will be happy with the final result, we shall see.

So disappointing for Mrs MC not to have the appropriate staff rolling out the vax - yet another example of Nadhim Zahawi blundering about and not delivering.
Beautiful sunrise - the farmer should be over the moon with it - just like a cow.

Sometimes I can see her beak moving, so I assume she is calling...calling for her mate from last year? I don't know quite how that works in the blackbird world.

I feel sorry for her. She will let me come out and stand besides the branch, and she doesn't fly away. I assume she was one of the blackbirds in or born in my garden last year. They do get used to me. I hope what she wants comes soon...

Black Bird Singing in the Dead of Night came to mind with this painting and you description. I do like those strong contrasting colours and suggestion of tree trunks lit by some light source. Good early morning art.
 
Good Morning all and a high 6.3 for me today.

Disturbed night as Oxford Covid Jab knocked Mrs MC for six. Pain, she could hardly move, high temp 39.8, clammy, shivering uncontrollably, cold and sickness, so up and down all night, still she says she is not feeling too bad this Morning so we hope the reaction to the vaccine is now over, fingers crossed. Of course she is now worrying about when she gets the second one,poor thing.

So a quiet day for us today, more music came yesterday so now we have 6 pieces to get through, today's the day.

Keep safe and make the best of your day you are able.

Good morning everyone on a, so far snow free yet damp and windy morning in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of a big pan of aligot (made with cauliflower and a tablespoon of potato powder) then the other stuff came in at 5.1 this am - must have been the wine in the gravy.

@geefull - thank you for your kind comments - great christmas pudding idea and enjoy the indoor running track. Colours of the northern lights are in there - a tricky subject I feel - perhaps a few more?
@Krystyna23040 - I hope that the rescue dog has now been found?
@gennepher - I love your digital artwork and how you play with light. This gate opens to many interpretations.

Several laps of the indoor arena yesterday together with just pottering about got me above 3 miles and 23 trips up the stairs - I wanted to wear my boots but Mrs Miggins insisted on indoor footwear only - blast.
Mother now safely back home despite half the city centre round the river being flooded. The should be OK as their house, which is in the Medieval part of the city is sitting on a flood plinth - installed when that part of the city was re-built in nineteen hundred and who knows. She has been issued with a prescription for a physiotherapist to visit three times a week and a list of exercises to do.

Art today - a sketch of a corvid about 4x4 inches - three down and 16 left to do. Hope you all have a smashing Sunday. I will begin with koffy.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen forecast to be cold here in the soft darn sarf, that is south of the Watford Gap.

An unsurprising 6.1 this morning.

Here my early morning tea is history and my follow up koffy is heading in that direction also.
Mrs J has been muttering about me trimming her hair a task I dread. I can spend 1/2 hours trimming her hair and then she spends another 1/2 hour faffing about with. Me and me's will never understand the female mind.

Today is at the moment uncharted waters, apart from the possibility of said hair.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers enjoy today in whatever form it takes.
Stay well, stay safe and stay away from the media.
 
Greetings one and all on Lent - 2 already. Today is the anniversary of our move here. Changes inside and out but unfinished and due to COVID it will be some time (at least a year?) before we can tell exactly how things will work out with the house and immediate area. Quick reflection on Deuteronomy 8.1-10 whilst doing my steps so far makes me realise how similar this year has been. I have been sheltered, fed, clothed, kept warm and cool at appropriate junctures and in the safer periods had glimpses of what may be. No snow here yet but bitterly cold - wind chill is a thing in these parts. Hug for Mrs MC @Muddy Cyclist. Better organise Moonpig deliveries chaps. Have a great day hair cutting, indoor lapping, music making and generally living the dream. 4 way video chat to deal with here right now.

What, only 23 trips up stairs? You ha e a long way to go before achieving the 3 uk peaks, better ignore Mrs Mighins and get them boots on. :)

Another fine bird, it's looking very ruffled as most Corvids do this time of year.

Only bachelors can boast about 40 year old clothes - married men have people continually tidying up - even gardening garments disappear in the blink of an eye just as soon as you jump into the shower and you have to nip down to the charity shop and buy them back at extortionate prices - is this what perpetual motion means?

@Muddy Cyclist , @gennepher , @dunelm Good news - the little dog was found half an hour ago. He is now safe and warm back home. It was so lovely that so many people went searching for him last night (some still searching at 12.30pm) and then early this morning. I must admit that I wasn't very hopeful that he would be found alive in this horrible weather.

Mr K is having his vaccine this morning. No snow yet.

Two pieces of good news there @Krystyna23040. Slight snow flurry just now - 10.00 am ish - on my latest circuit of Slabhatch. Almost identical timing when one of old dogs escaped on Superbowl night. One of the worst storms for years had me walking and driving around 3 villages with facebook spotters claiming to have seen him all over. Eventaully, after Supoerbowl ended and I went to bed, he woke Julie and came in all wet and bedraggled. Cue more and higher fences - hence the fence post rammer @Muddy Cyclist
