You are such a tough, determined lady with a really creative streak for problem solving and using as an outlet for your obviously very active mind. Bravo. It is beyond a disgrace that one person can wreak such havoc and misery on so many people. A disgrace but very much the spirit of the age - for now. I could say please don't overdo it but as usual would you take any notice? We both know the answer to that one and anyhow you wouldn't be that special Genn if you did.Fbg 6.3
Next door, Mr Insensitive Ignoramus, appears to have upset a few of the neighbours with his lights which are now left on until after 11 pm. And the neighbours are now leaving their lights on until after midnight.
The neighbours nice gentle white twinkling lights over the road have all now turned into monster aggressive flashing white lights.
When I was still finishing/adding bits to my 'screening' earlier last night, in the dark, I noticed that Mr Insensitive Ignoramus' aggressive colourful flashing lights do reflect massively into everyone's bungalow rooms over the road, and people who never shut their front room curtains in the evening, are now closing their curtains...
I worked in the cold biting wind and rain all day yesterday. This is the area opposite the kitchen window and door, to stop the aggressive intrusive flashing lights coming into the kitchen windows and the kitchen door window, and also should mean that if there is some winter sun I can put a chair to the open kitchen door and I can sit there and read a book and have a cup of tea or something. That's my plan. The back garden gets no sun all winter. And I miss sitting in the sun.
His flashing lights came on last night and the work I've done all day has diffused the aggressive lights coming into the kitchen and the colours are now faded, and not viciously migraine inducing . So, a good days work...
I have decided that the rest of the concrete driveway on the side of my bungalow will now be a vegetable garden in pots. It will be easy yet to water because obviously the kitchen is right next to it.
I'm going to make a little door there in that passage, like a door screen, so that nobody can actually see in there, and I think it might be a good idea if it was hidden so to speak. I will finish off doing the screen in the morning. I came across (when I was looking for some cable ties) some of the camouflage netting I used for my thatched swing earlier this year. And this has given me some new ideas....
I was a bit too tired to go to sleep last night, but I had slept earlier when I came in. So some time after midnight I went to the kitchen to make a cuppa tea. I went outside to check I had put the lock properly on my gate. There were a whole pile of flashing Christmas lights still on, including next door to me. Ridiculous.
When I came back in my kitchen door refused to close. After several tries, I was frustrated and slammed it as hard as I could. The whole of my door and windows reverberated...
At that instant Mr Insensitive Ignoramus' next door's nightmare Christmas lights went off. There had been no lights on inside his bungalow, so I assume he was waiting in the dark for some reason.
Creative today. Different black pens, water mister, and trees.
Now I am going outside to do a bit more screening. I still have oak branches left and tons of bamboo...

Mischief managed. Hope you get the Harry Potter reference if not Mrs Caldicot's cabbage war works.Thank you @ianpspurs
I faithfully promise ..
Divine providence Ma'am. Phew, don't take it the wrong way but it is a relief to see even those who appear to dwell on Olympus are human. Sky have an F1 channel - Christmas present for Mr K?. Throw in BT sport as well for the rugby - maybe not The Ashes this time. You know you want to.No National Trust walk today as Mr K has just discovered that Channel Four is showing F1 live this afternoon. I actually don't mind as I am really tired today and will enjoy catching up with reading.
Len Goodman here - 7You may vote on which is your preference...
I have 3 favourites.
They are shower curtains.
And I will fix them on a washing line that I will put on hooks (that I put on garage and bungalow years ago for a similar purpose between me and Ignoramus, I put old sheets on then to stop him leering at me in my garden, the sheets have long disappeared...).
Which is your preference?
If you don't like my choice of shower curtains, then I have something else to use which is in my garage and is a secret...and I will put up as an interim measure...or maybe permanent...
Right, sun has come out...bye...going into my garage to see what other goodies I can find...

Sigh...couldn't you add a 1 to that 7 @ianpspursLen Goodman here - 7![]()
Can’t beat a good Farmers market to view titbits no longer on the menu although I did get a few choice things. Mrs Miggins and co are now aboard HMS Pinafore, sailing the ocean dark grey. Thanks for the tree. Farmer's market? You really are "one of us." I always knew the man protesteth too much. The subtle affectation of "tea time" is a nice touch. Well payed.I hope Mrs Miggins and her sister enjoy the cruise and stay safe. All the online form filling was a mission even before plan B or C or ??- for JKP obviously
If she gets a chance whilst in S'oton, the Oxford Road area houses some nice eateries, coffee shops, boutiques etc. Ideal for "our kind of people."
Are you really to be trusted on your own?. I do hope she knows what she is doing. I guess that's another, you ordered it you eat it waiting to happen

Thank you @gennepherWow!
I love the imagination with this @dunelm
Fabulous trees and a high flying bird. Curtains, I think that number 6 is nice and calming but perhaps he would prefer something a bit more risqué like Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d Avignon or the Birth Of Venus by Cabanel.Fbg 6.3

Wonder how much rocket we have to eat per Kg of body weight? Hope they don’t experiment with kale. For those of you who like a modicum of science. I was brought here by Arugala and its impact on knocking out the zzzs. I liked what I read but I'm a simple soul.

Hopefully not the making of the Good ship VenusThank you @dunelm
I think the Birth of Venus was definitely available in a shower curtain...
