What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.5

Between 8pm and 9pm, there is the fox I call Foxy Loxy, the badger I call Kissy Kissy, Jade (cat), and Midnight (cat). Each animal came on the wildlife trail camera several times, but only one appeared at a time.

It was like watching actors entering and leaving a stage, but never actually meeting each other. Ghost cat was absent, but he doesn't usually appear until much later.

Creative is a digital painting in Procreate of an Autumn scene.

My garden never looks very autumnal. It has a lot of evergreen in it. Most of my other vegetation hold their leaves even through winter.
Maybe that is why the birds love my garden. There is always shelter and somewhere to hide for them.
Yesterday when I came back from the shops, Midnight was waiting for me inside the front gate. That was a first! Even when I open the gate to come in, he never goes into the front garden. As far as I am aware, he never leaves the confines of my back garden or my bungalow. I always know exactly where he is, unless he is camouflaged by a shady spot.
As I went into the back garden, the resident flock of sparrows came flying in chattering away. It was a beautiful greeting coming back home!
I sat down on the swing for awhile and watched them.

Anyway, back to the creative. At the end of my garden is a corner behind the garage, which has 4 leylandi in a square formation. I don't allow them to grow more than 8 feet, and in a hot summer they provide welcome secluded shade. There is a wooden seat and a bench. This time of year, it is far too cold to sit there, but various fungi grow on the ground. I believe they are edible for humans, but I have no intention of trying them. However, I painted a colourful red fairy toadstool Instead of the boring brown looking one.

So, the creative is my view out of the leylandi, as if I were sitting in there.
It is also surrounded by bamboo.

Time for a cuppa...

And a nap.

Have a great day.

Today Spot on for Kiki. Vet supplieded, perhaps more effective than shop bought? This is second dose to hopefully eradicate the skin parasites causing her irritation and fur loss on one ear. Side effect is confinement to kitchen and downstairs shower room as these parasites can get into soft furnishing and then reinfect. Kiki has only had one visit to the salon and that time she slept on my lap so we think there is little risk of reinfection, but taking no chances.

At what point is blood glucose too low? Although with DP running rampant at the moment is not really a worry. After 30 mins had risen to 5 5.
Another query, feel a bit stupid asking but have only found "like" icon. Where are the others?

FBG 9.5 about 5 am. 11.9 during the night.

Highlight of my day today? Struggled out in my big thick fleecy hoodie to put rubbish in the bins and put the bins out to the roadside. That's it. That's me shattered for the rest of the day. Had to do it because Neil's down with something - he says it feels like flu although he had a flu jab a week or so ago. Bin lorry always arrives just after 9 am, so any minute now. Have to stir myself though, because my cleaner should be coming this morning and I have to get myself organised for her (make the bed, clear the floors and so on). Just want to lay back and feel sorry for all my aches and pains, but can't.
I would give a hug, but aa i just said cant find them. You do have virtual sympathy for all the aches and pains though. Hope Neil recovers swiftly from whatever he has caught.

Good morning everyone from the last chance saloon back pain course and what fun topics did we cover yesterday. Loneliness due to pain and illness (and what you might do if that’s you), Pseudoscience in healthcare (what fun) and of course in the pool with Legs Larry Smith and his gargantuan list of torture poses to music by The Bonzos. Not much time to do any art but do bear with me for a quick sketch. Have a marvelous day if you can, I shall make koffy in my travel cafetière and think about taking a big pile of Prednisolone.

Sounds like there will be another amazing day in store for you today if it is anything like yesterday @dunelm
:oops::oops:

The poor animal in your painting bellowing away. I don't think he is very keen on water torture either...
(It's a great wee painting!)

Keep your finger on that like icon.
Long press it and a row of icons will pop up @SlimLizzy

5.9 this morning. Archie still improving. Took him for a walk - shorter and very gentle but he was definitely a lot stronger than yesterday.

We are off shortly to our little market town as I need some stuff from The Grape Tree and Boots. Then on to Tesco to get Yeo Valley milk and Greek yogurt.

Then a little trip to Great Dunham to take a Dyson hairdryer to hopefully be repaired.

Oh what an exciting life we lead here in central Norfolk.
Glad Archie is improving @Krystyna23040

Thank you for the video and creative. Even if those Leylandi only grow to eight feet that must be some job lopping them and disposing of the cuttings each year. You are an intrepid lady but surely eventually you will need help? Take care and stay safe.

Late Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who rose from their pit at 9:25am, yep.
.
Me, me’s and myself and the other 3 that inhabit my cranial cavity thought my blood sugars would be all awry this morning, but no a 5.1 .
.
I have done something to my left foot and am struggling to walk, also the pain kept me awake in the night, this is really annoying as my right leg calf muscle is now ok. I don’t want to resort to walking with a walking stick again, it ruins my image, long shoulder length grey hair and grey beard, Terry Pratchett type hat, leather jacket and every other word a profanity, vanity darlings vanity. If one has hair one has to flaunt it. Drives Mrs J to distraction.
Pain and lack of exercise plays havoc with my blood sugars and also blood pressure. Hey ho there we go. Sympathy is not required.

Here in Tilehurst Towers it will be a day of taking things easy, avoiding the banal media, perhaps this afternoon I might listen to a little Puccini, a famous rock star from the 80’s 1880’s that is.
This mornings, well what’s left of it could be listening to either absolute rock and or planet rock. Whoops Mrs J has just stirred, better hobble into the kitchen and make her morning tea.
Stay safe all and two fingers to the barbers………of Serville by Rossini.

Hug given wanted or not. If you need a stick use one and be proud. Perhaps a parrot on the shoulder would be perfectly in keeping with your persona so friends and neighbours would just think that is Alf being Alf. Styling it out is, I believe, the phrase.

Thanks @ianpspurs

I do have to be vigilant with them. They are part of my valued privacy...

I will stay safe, thank you.

I'll lend you my twisty walking stick/pole @alf_Josiah
The ivy grew for years round the wood to create my stick.
I call it my shepherd's pole, for keeping 'things' in order. I am sure you would find a use for it...
I have several custom made/carved walking sticks...

I think it will be in keeping with your image...
