I always have around £250 credit in my energy bill account which they draw on for paying my bill each month. I always make sure there is an excess amount in. There is no way they can assume I cannot pay. My monthly dd of £45 covers this month's energy usage.You have to watch it gennepher they may assume you can't pay and put you on a prepayment meter.

There would be no legal reason why they would do that.
There is a mismatch between the smart meter in my room, and the details on my account online. I have asked for, and got confirmation, that my online details are correct. But, even so, as I said, I have a very healthy pot of money in their coffers for them to draw on for my bills @lindisfel
