Cat Merlin, Fox, & Ghost Cat

GhostCat1 is a bit of a bully.
He is first, but doesn't take the cat biscuits on the swing and jumps back down.
Cat Merlin is on the swing the entire video, but is tucked away by the wind chimes, the opposite end to the cat biscuits on the swing.
Foxy Loxy visits.
Then at the end of the short video, Merlin has moved to a visible middle position on the swing. To defend the cat biscuits?
But GhostCat1 jumps up at the swing and eats the cat biscuits.
I feel that Merlin was disappointed his strategy of sitting right next to the cat biscuits didn't work, because GhostCat1 ignored him, despite Merlin being barely a handswidth distance from GhostCat1.
Merlin is going to have to rethink his strategy if he wants to defend the cat biscuits on the swing...



Creative is...well, last night there was a magnificent red sunset over the entire sky. I reached for my iPad to take a photo. Aimed, and the red sunset had vanished in an instant...
So, this is a painting in Procreate of that sunset!!!

And by the way my baked potatoes cooked in my garden incinerator in the cinders, after burning my security rubbish because my shredder has broken yet again, were delicious...

Time for a cuppa.

Love the glowing artwork Gennepher. That is precisely the colour the sky was here a few days ago, but like yours, it didn't last.

Should be able to correct that by clicking on the italicised capital "I" on the toolbar, but make sure to select the spaces before and after your word or letter as well as the actual letters, otherwise it will just carry it on from one or other of those spaces.
 
Elder granddaughter took a last minute cancellation driving test this afternoon (she only heard about it yesterday) and she passed. This means she can drive on motorways with her Mum giving her tips and advising how to handle off Island traffic (plenty vehicles here, but not so many as on the mainland and fewer complicated junctions/roundabouts/traffic lights). We only had one proper roundabout here until a few years ago, when our second one was built. When it was under construction an elderly lady managed to drive right up onto it and couldn't get off so the workmen had to haul it off for her. Her niece told me that she had asked the men "when did they put that there?" We also only had one set of traffic lights as well. I think there are 3 now. All of these wonders are in Stornoway - the rest of the Island is just open roads and tracks.

The tracks are all single, as are some of the roads meaning 2 cars can't pass each other so passing places are scattered along them. There is a protocol, often ignored, about using these, ie pull in at the first passing place you come to if you can see another vehicle coming towards you, don't park in a passing place. Neil once sat for 25 minutes, refusing to back off when somebody had ignored a passing place they should have used to let him through. The other driver eventually gave in. DIL met somebody telling a story about a driver who had refused to let him through on that road some years before. From the description of the event she surmised that the stubborn driver was Neil. Obviously not forgiven.

Someone has been knocking on my front door about three times in the last hour. This is pitch black in the evening. Honestly, does a single elderly disabled woman answer a door at night when she is not expecting anyone?

I looked out of the front window but I couldn't see anyone and whoever it was carried on knocking. I am assuming it's my front door. I don't know, it was a gentle knock and I could barely hear it with me being deaf, even with my cochlear processor.

Then 15 minutes ago I could hear it again. I live in a detached bungalow My bungalow doesn't join the bungalows either side. So I shouldn't really be able to hear anything inside my bungalow but it was definitely knocking from outside. Then I looked out again and somebody was walking down my driveway with a torch in their hand. Then they went up to next door neighbour of the Christmas lights and I didn't look any longer, I just came back to the back of the bungalow again.

I've no idea if it was him of the Christmas lights, or if it was someone else going to knock on his door as well. But I did notice a lot of cars in the street going in and out so I have no idea. My car is in my driveway and it's fully locked and everything.

I am not going out there outside for anything, that would be completely stupid of me. And if it is next door Mr Christmas lights neighbour he has no business knocking on my door that time of night, but as I said I just don't know.

I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. If it was him I'll find out in the morning..

Quite right not to answer the door. If it's someone you know, they should realise that you would be unlikely to answer. If it's not, you don't want to know them. If it's important, they'll come back in the morning. Your personal security is paramount.

Thanks Ann.
I have to be expecting a caller before I answer the door anyway. People who know me, know they have to text when they get to front door so I know they are there, and I answer the door. It's an arrangement I have. Apart from anything else, I don't generally hear people knocking at the door unless I'm near a wall and then I can feel something.

Midnight slept under my chin all night...
It was a very bright moon last night. I could see my garden clear as day. Did I see any of the wildlife? No I didn't...and from where I am in my bed I have a clear view of the garden out of my full length glass door...that badger goes past at the speed of lightning...

So, this is what you get...
I had wanted to put pink, that deep pink/red you see on the tips of white daisy petals, but it didn't work, so I had to paint them out. Maybe it is because the background round them was straw coloured, and if it had been shades of green it might have worked.
Both cats are present...

Good morning from the future that is one hour ahead of the game here in the bright and glorious Charente-Maritime. My mother has put out a very large purple bath towel for me so I shall wear it as a chilton and identify as Marcus Aurelius and spout statements such as; “It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live”. Probably nowadays he would have been jumped upon by the shouting minorities for not including every known pronoun currently invented. Art bit - finished piece so I thought about same topic, different angle next. Have the best day that you can have, you only get to sample the day once. I better finish my koffy.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentleman and purple robed Roman senators.

Blood sugars this morning were a grrrrr inducing 4.7 , Me, me’s and myself were due to drive to the doctors for a routine blood test or two, but until I can get my level over 5.0 Mrs J will have to drive. Just for information I took less insulin last night and ate, which should have raised my levels this morning.
Fathoming blood sugars is a real headache, give me quantum mechanics anytime.
The doctors surgery have just rung up delaying my appointment by an hour or so, yippee.
Lots going on in Tilehurst Towers at the moment, Mrs J is having a clear out so it’s best I keep out of sight otherwise I will be bound for the charity shop.
Now I must depart Mrs J is looking my way.
