Have your best kind of day.

Time for another cuppa tea.

The other day I said my GP had retired one of the lay things he did on his last day was to call me on the phone to inform me that I may have cancer of the bowel not great for him to have to do not very great for me will be having a colonoscopy within the next two weeks not panicking as yet there are several other things it could be.
Not a pleasant phone call for either party. Good attitude to wait and see and I hope that it goes well for you.

Could be my mother but for lack of red - she is the red Dalek.

Good morning everyone on another very blustery start here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.4 this am and as the sun is shining I am contemplating hanging the washing on the line - hope it does not identify as a spinnaker in this fair breeze and go sailing off the wind. Girl In The Bubble received a paint your own eggs pack for Easter and last night was the time to decorate them (2 in the pack - pottery eggs, little paint pots and a brush). Now packed into her backpack to take home this morning.
Pause - washing now on line - so windy it’s hard to breath. Hope it calms down a bit so we can get out in the sunshine without being blown down the road like Gene Autry in an old western. Art bit - sprinkles of salt on drying paint and some white ink. Hope your day a refreshing one. I simply must have another koffy.

I like this very much @dunelm
The wind is playing fun and games here as well...

5.6 this morning. Really blustery here but the sunshine is lovely.

Relaxing on my reclining chair in the conservatory with a coffee. Am feeling quite lazy It is so nice to see the sunshine. We will wait for the wind to die down a bit before taking Poppy for a walk.

Good morning all from a breezy Little America. Unknown fbg here once again. #3 son, partner and two grandchildren are here for lunch which is definitely a blessing from God not a random accident. Through his Grace we still have the strength to do all the prep and the resources to provide what many now and throughout history would consider a feast. Give us our daily bread made manifest here and now not long ago and far away. Anyhow, Sunday service is over. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art and some idea of how it was created. @gennepher thank you also for both creations and idea of the how and where. Have as good a day as you possibly can - ideally diamond not stone.

Fbg 5.0 today
Thanks for the supportive replies had a conversation with a hospital consultant by phone and we decided on a ct colonoscopy as for the normal one I would have to stop the warfarin for seven days prior and we did not think that would be advisable.
I don’t know what with everything that’s happened I was thinking of changing my name to Job (biblical reference)
Then again I know there are people on here who have weighty crosses to carry much more so than I.

Great effect with the salt. Such a talent.

BG at 04:30 was 5.4 and, after 3 cups of tea and 6 hours it was 5.1 (had dropped into the 4's briefly). I think I may have to reduce my basal insulin to get to a steady 5 -6 range, which is my target.

Storm Kathleen is here making it difficult to get things out to the container for Neil but he will have help later when Alistair comes up to assist (Alistair lives half a mile away, downhill from us).

I may find it difficult to get to my laptop during the coming couple of weeks but will certainly pop in from time to time, when the builders leave me some space. I'll have to adjust my meal time as well so that I am finished before they arrive in the mornings.

Grandson has now been presented with a dilemma he had been offered a job with the NHS but has now also been offered a job by Deloitte at a greater salary and is now trying to decide which one to take they both have there attractions and draw backs.
Congratulations to grandson but a hug for the dilemma. Hope he makes a choice which makes him happiest in the long-run.

I gave a hug for the unwelcome visitor Kathleen but the fbg deserves a winner.

Afternoon all, from a windy Tilehurst Towers.

Not much point in publishing my blood sugars since Wednesdays slice up session, they are all over the place and no meaning conclusions are possible, just smile sweetly and move along.

@JohnEGreen, good luck and hopefully the next few words will bring a smile to your face and others
Me, me’s and myself describe colonoscopies as taking a picture of the back of your teeth from the long way round.

At long last me, me’s and myself have managed to start a new woodworking project, which will be when finished a child’s mud kitchen. This is being made from reclaimed wood and a discarded stainless steel sink. Pictures will be posted.

Now it’s afternoon nap time, stay safe and probably not a good day to emulate Mary Poppins with her umbrella.
