So with the shingles vaccine you are supposed to have two doses about six months apart I hahad the first dose over a year ago but never had the second dose so Maybe will have to repeat the first dose and then have the second dose afterwards.

Bore da! @JohnEGreen

Same here in London and, if you happen to find a space, you're charged an arm and a leg for the privilege of parking.

We campaigned for regular bus services that deliver you to the hospital's main entrance and everybody I know, including our GP, uses the buses. Occasionally, we've offered lifts to incapacitated neighbours.and they have reciprocated, but making these ad hoc arrangements is not easy with so many medical procedures subject to cancellation at short notice.

Thursday's FBG 4.6 mmol on waking at 6.00 am

Bore da every one fbg this morning is 8.0
Yesterday I went to Kingsmill hospital to try and get a couple of blood tests done ended up driving round the car park for half an hour then gave up and went home absolutely no parking space in the entire hospital one reason for this is in an attempt to reduce waiting lists they have doubled up the clinic appointments so there are twice as many people trying to park a friend of ours who works there was half an hour late for work the other day as she could not find a place to park.
Keiran is going to drop me off at the hospital this morning and come back for me later.
Obviously there are insufficient parking bays reserved for hospital staff @JohnEGreen.

Patients might not begrudge the parking charges quite so much if, assuming you can find a space, your money went towards hospital expenses. It might help pay off some of the private finance initiatives (otherwise known as profits for industry) which are sucking the NHS dry.

Alas, it's almost always a private parking operator that benefits.

Friday's FBG 4.5 mmol on waking at 6.00 am

I only ever had one shingles vaccine, around 2018 @JohnEGreen
I was told then, just one was needed. And that would be it...for life...

This came up on one of my INR appointments the practice nurse was looking through my records on the computer and noted that I had only been given one jab and told me two were required I looked on the NHS web site the other day and it says two jabs required.Have an appointment booked for Monday to check on how the wound on my back is healing so will enquire then.

Fbg this morning 5.4 Sun is shining here at the moment but rain forecast for about 10 AM.

The nurse said that this is a new vaccine and needs two doses as it is an inactive vaccine. The previous one was an active vaccine and you only needed the one dose. Hope your surgery sort out which one you were given.

Sun at mo, but app promises thunderstorms and lightning...

Wildlife nighttime video
Fox jumps on & off the swing first...and then Badger jumps on swing
40 secs

Creative...a kaleidoscope from yesterday's rose...

Hopefully we will get some rain. But not til I get back home...it seems to alternate here between drought, then flooding...

Have your best day...

Yep, I had both jabs last year. Looks like you were not entered into a call back system.

Good morning everyone on another damp squib start here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 this a.m. which looks a bit prime without the decimal, but no. A bit of the start of A Tale Of Two Cities yesterday. 14th June - “White flags flying over Stanley” - thoughts for those who no longer enjoy the rain on their faces or the warmth of the sun on their backs. And we had both yesterday. I noticed that Munich has a number of disappointing themed Scottish bars, something about watching a chess grand master playing an Urang Utang - who knows, not me, is that how foot the ball is played? Nigel Mirage is now the official replacement for Liz Truss in human form and may soon be seen slithering onto the front opposition benches quite soon, pint in hand - tickets for the freak show available from Ticketmasters. Meeting The Girl In The Bubble and her mum for lunch today after her dancing lesson. Don’t get too excited, think more a reenactment of the invasion of The Great Viking Army in one of those miniature village attractions where tiny automaton models, all dressed in Disney outfits, are spinning about without a care in the world like uncoordinated dervishes. Art bit, another tree exercise. Hope your day contains at least a quarter of a pound of smiles. I shall make some koffy and watch the rain watering the plants.

6.5 today at 03.45.

Neil has ground to a halt on the work in the loft due to his chest/breathing problems. As a result, downstairs is still cluttered with things that either need to go back to the loft or need to be taken to the dump/charity shop. Alistair can't help - he's pretty exhausted trying to keep doing his own job plus all the work that DIL can't do in the laundry at the moment. His exhaustion is clear to see but he feels he has to keep going. Today is his day off from his own job so he was hoping to get ahead with some laundry work and to get a chance for some sleep.

My new mini pc arrived and is working. Unfortunately, the keyboard that I have to go with it is a wireless one and it was left in Neil's room with the batteries still in, years ago. Result is, of course, very corroded batteries and connections that need cleaning thoroughly. Meantime Neil has given me a different keyboard which is not wireless. The connector to the monitor doesn't seem to be working either although the pc does work with a different connector to my little TV. Unfortunately, the stand I had with my TV, which hadn't been used since about 2014, went to the dump about 3 weeks ago. Wouldn't you just know it? For now, I am still using my laptop while Neil rethinks the plan.

My DNA test kit has arrived and I will do something about that this weekend.

Good nearly afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen by the time I finish this diatribe it will be afternoon so those ov a picky nature can whatever:)

Blood sugars this morning were 5.9

Our Mordor dwelling youngest son and his wife called in to see Mrs J and myself yesterday evening, it was a pleasant surprise, but they left swiftly , heading back to Mordor before the M4 closed. Mordor is name for London.

Mrs J is managing to use her broken and plastered arm a little more and slowly gaining confidence in what is achievable and what isn’t. This is easing my burden, but I still know I am her personal slave and likely to remain so for the next few decades or so it seems. Luckily Mrs J still has all her own teeth ( fangs ) so I don’t have to chew her food for her……

Stay safe all.

Raining again.

Garbage from Garage who thinks he's on the rampage, but that poll has been discounted because the questions of to the participants are so biased towards reform.
There is a number of doorstep knockers in Rishis constituency today, spreading the word.
And the word is, can you trust him?
Rhetorical question peeps.

Painting onwards.

Bless each and every one of you lot.

We should compare notes.
do you enjoy the power over your Mrs J incapacity?
or does it seem weird, thinking for yourself?

2.Me, me’s and myself have no power
3. Whatever gave you the idea I am allowed to think for myself?
