Good morning everyone on a splendidly quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.4 this a.m.
Don’t you just love it when yet another marvel of modern science is prescribed by your GP - a patch. And not just any old patch, but one that is so difficult to get out of the packet and so thin, microns thin, that the first one ends up stuck to said packet. Not for me mind. This is the all new singing and dancing cure all for Mrs Miggins - I think she has been picked for some sort of clandestine drug trial but then I have watched one of those investigative Hollywood documentaries about such things.
Art bit - I did a six panel splurge of paint a week or so ago. Individually presented but today and tomorrow the upper three and then the lower three - so lazy.
Hope your Friday includes you all day long - I am using mine to make a three day weekend. And that includes the making of koffy.

6.9 this morning.
Really good dog training session today. Bonnie is exhausted and actually so am I.

It has been a brilliant week. It has been so good starting back on Wednesday as it is a gentle start back to work. Tomorrow just 3 zoom classes as there is a wedding at my usual venue so a lovely gentle end to a very short weeks work.

Yesterday's Norwich classes and 1:1s went very well and I also did admin in the morning.

A long morning.
An awkward shop assistant, then some communication problems because I could not tell what the person was saying because her enunciation was not clear as she was not English and the pronunciation of the words just could not make sense to me. And then I came home to a letter which made no earthly sense because it was completely factually wrong...

I decided to give myself a three day weekend and I am not going deal with any problems until next Tuesday. And so I took photographs of flowers in my garden for my creative post. And emailed with a friend who is suggesting some new notetaking Apps for me, as my current one does not update very well between different devices....

Then I fell asleep for the next few hours and I've only just woken up, at nearly 11 pm!!!!

So I had better hurry up with this post before I fall asleep again!!!

The flower I have chosen from my garden is Honesty for my creative...

And I found some all cotton diabetic socks which do not make my feet swell. And so I am going to order some more when I have posted this.

Night night

Sweet dreams

I will play catch up with your posts tomorrow....

Good morning everyone on another Simply Super Saturday here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.3 this a.m.
It’s all hands to the pumps and look sharp with the windlass this morning as The Girl In The Bubble breakfasts and gets ready to go to her dance class while at the same time catching up with the goings on with a family of cartoon talking pigs that have yet to go all out George Orwell.
Art bit - same as it ever was
Hope your day goes well. “The winds must come from somewhere when they blow” so best make koffy.

Before I made today's kaleidoscope, I had to deal with Midnight, my large and very opinionated cat, who knew his eardrops were coming before his breakfast. No eardrops then he has no breakfast (he loves his tummy). I had nought seconds to put the drops in his ear and get away, before he shakes his head with a violent force that ejects the eardrops, greater than the distance than a human sneeze projects....

Creative is a kaleidoscope of the Honesty from yesterday...

ALT text (this is the text I have written to be embedded in the photo, where apps allow it, for blind or partially sighted people)
“A vibrant kaleidoscope pattern made from purple Honesty flowers. The design forms a bright, symmetrical circle with rich pink, violet, and green tones, radiating from a central flower-like star. The outer edges fade into black, giving the impression of a broken or incomplete border (some how as I was putting this through Snapseed I lost the two sides of the circle and I have no idea how I did this, but I liked it so I left it!) The mirrored petals create a lively, almost glowing effect, with layers of green foliage peeking through the background.”

Time for a nap now...

No sun today....

9.5 at 04.10 today. It's been high all day, but I don't know why - 13.5 right now. Libre shows me that during the night it was up to 15.9, Ouch!

Baking a new chocolate cake recipe today for an event tomorrow. It looks like a very soft, moist cake (American recipe) but it's an awful faff compared to my usual chocolate cake. Just have to decorate it now. It should be a 2 tiered cake, but I've made it as a traybake - much easier to portion out.

Did I say, my cleaner can't do the work any more, having injured her back? Em has volunteered to come once a week, after school, and do the work. So she'll come next Friday (school day is shorter on Fridays) and we'll see how she gets on. She's not the tidiest of people at home, so cleaning here might not be her cup of tea at all, even though I am intending to pay her for it as her weekend job.

Good afternoon all. My fbs was 10.0 this morning. Still abstaining from my Forxiga medication until I start the new treatment recommended by the hospital yesterday for another condition so that may explain the higher than normal level. Another appointment including more examinations and blood test yesterday so I am planning on relaxing this week-end , hopefully away from hospitals and GP surgeries! I wish you all the best week-end you can have. :)

Well done to Em for volunteering to step in. I hope she exceeds all expectations.

I wouldn't be surprised, as @dunelm suggests, that Em exceeds all expectations.
