What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from another wonderfully cool start to the here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.4 this a.m.

The force was strong within the Thursday displays on the Aldi Isle of Mystery yesterday. Weakening though as one wandered through the door and disappearing entirely when said isle came into view. Still, the wine bargains were good.

Yorkshire day today so a white rose to commemorate the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry at the Battle of Minden and also the accomplishments of William Wilberforce.

Art bit - ink on wet paper and a spray of bleach.

Hope this month serves you well. Never mind the imperfections of the world, I will make the best of it - starting with more koffy.
This is brilliant... @dunelm
I love all the different colours you get...
My bleach paintings tended to be browns and creams... I still haven't found them yet... difficult when every room and potting shed and garage is like a tardis....

Fbg 6.9

This is from my pile of paintings I have found that I have painted in the last few years... the purple flower is knapweed, but I am not sure what the yellow one was.. it's was from a time when there were a lot more wildflowers in my garden, but the canopy of trees has grown and my garden is very much shady now...

So here is my creative for today...this is a Watercolor...

Even though it is cooler, I have been very tired today and sleeping on and off...

Take care

Busy day - we are both very conscious of the countdown to visitors arrival.
Ensuite shower room is now waiting for finishing touches only
MrSlim and I tidied up the bedroom by scraping off all the loose paint and washing the floor. And removing everything that didn't belong in there.
Eventually it will be the master bedroom, but for now will be for our guests. Who arrive in three weeks exactly.
MrSlim is hoping to restart work on the kitchen tomorrow.
Both of us are a it fed up of microwave meals

7.6 on the morning of the phlebotimist called for Mrs L 6 months test and my yearly one.
Afraid mine will not be good reading. Think I will be back on meds.
Just really hoping tomorrow is fine for Mrs L.
The family is coming round en masse to help.
And I know, I'm already missing her.
But I might in the following days be able to do nothing for a change. I said I might........
Best wishes and I'm sorry for not replying to the posts.
So much going on inside and outside my head.

Such hard workers and I hope everything stays on schedule and that you can relax with your visitors.

All the very best @Lamont D for you and Mrs L and your supportive family. I hope that the new arrangements do well for Mrs L and give you some well deserved respite. Perhaps have a go at the garden.

9.7 when I sat up this morning (05.15). 10.3 by the time I got to the kitchen. Pills, coffee and basal insulin led to BG of 10.7 a few minutes ago. Not a good start to the day. It was high yesterday as well, despite some correction doses. Don't know why.
Could you unknowingly be stressed about something? Hope you figure it out.

Surprisingly MrSlim has decided we need a day off. So we are off out to somewhere...
Yesterday went outside in a rare sunny afternoon, deadheaded roses ( most now badly affected by blackspot) weeded a patch and then discovered some of the tomatoes have blight and courgettes with blossom end rot. While the runner beans are looking pale and have plenty flowers but no beans. Possibly it's too dry by the wall. Am tempted to pull them out along with the mangetout which provided us with a mere handful and then wilted.
All this is now theory as we are off on a hopefully magical mystery tour.

@Lamont D you could even try relaxing in the garden.

Good morning everyone on what looks like it may be a sun shiny day here in the dark and dangerous north.

Breaking news last night - The Girl In The Bubble can now swim unaided! She has been spending a lot of time in the swimming pool in Spain with Mrs Miggins and her parents. They will be home on Tuesday at some point.

Conversations with my mother. She is 90 tomorrow. Going to Paris on the train for an overnight stay and to see a David Hockney exhibition with a couple of friends as a treat to herself. They have to travel first class (at no extra cost) as she will be in a wheelchair. Might be due to disabled access on their trains although normal carriages do have raised levels over where the wheels are. Very odd that SNCF.

Art bit - ink on wet paper. I mixed three different inks with some rubbing alcohol and it turned blue.

Hope your day does you well. If not, I can work with whatever room is left, but only after a mug of good koffy.

Excellent idea MrSlim - have a good day out.
