What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

7.9 by the time I got through to the kitchen at 03.20 today. 8.9 sitting on the edge of my bed before that.

Recycling and compost bin day today. Neil went out about 07.00 to put them out for collection. While he was at it, he tried to start up my grandson's car which is parked in our entrance (it is officially off the road for now). It wouldn't start a couple of days ago so Neil put it on charge but it still isn't going. B will have to see what's wrong with it. Perhaps the battery should have been removed while it was sat there, I don't know.

Thank you for that Gennepher. I'll give it a go.
Oh and by the way I stood to lose £40 if I did not fight it!
@Annb

Morning all. I hope you are all fighting the good fight in the way most suited to your deepest beliefs and circumstances. Out of nowhere, seemingly, Youtube decided instead of my usual morning playlist to offer me this. In a world with POTUS and winter I'll hang on to gifts like this. :woot: Sunday is Advent Sunday, now but not yet folks in so many ways. Go well today,

He is a beautiful cat @dogslife
He is not unfriendly but he does not allow me to approach him yet...
I'm sure you will win him over before long, Gennepher.

@Annb
That's a loss worth fighting for. Mine is minimal, but the amount isn't the point - they shouldn't make it so hard for customers to make a complaint.

He's a cartoon character - big, fat, lazy, friendly and gets into trouble.
Thank you @Annb. Actually, I was being a tad very naughty as I knew but it is a cat and a massive part of me refuses to deal with the fact they exist - couldn't Noah have just have let that one animal go and let a unicorn on? :playful: - even in cartoon form. Its who I am mate - forgive me.

I actually managed to get onto the Amazon Chat line today - no idea how, it just appeared out of nowhere on my screen. It couldn't help but it did transfer me to a human. Problem solved now.

I'm still going to send a message to the bosses though to let them understand how difficult it is to get through. They should do something about the design of their website.

I'm dumb. I should have realised, Ian.

I don't mind cats or dogs. I just can't have one and I can certainly live without. Dogs are high maintenance and cats, while very independent, cause allergies (we didn't know how allergic Neil was to them when we last had a cat).

Even big-hearted Gennepher would have trouble caring for a unicorn though.

I have 5 granddaughters who would, currently, snatch you hand off for a real unicorn. Mum and dad not so much methinks. Most (all?) have some outrageously supersized toy ones - when did that become a thing? What is unicorn clothing all about :arghh: - just granddad being grumpy gels, he gets tired.:D

Afternoon fellow posters and painters?
Life is challenging, interesting and whatever.
I blame Disney for the current unicorn fad.
Give me the wombles as I stagger through this walking stick enjoyable life, whatever it throws at me.

I did have a unicorn @Annb

It was pottery, J made it for me.. and unfortunately one winter the frost broke it apart. I did have a stable for it as well... But the snails ate the acrylic paint off the stable.... So you're right, I cannot take care of a Unicorn...

I can take care of dragons though....

Em went through a phase of loving everything unicorn-like but now she's into goth stuff, piercings, etc. How do they grow up so quickly? I remember being keen on black myself, in my teens, but never the big boots, safety pins, nose piercing and so on.
