Great photos @dunelm !!!Good morning from a chilly start in Berlin. We are here for the Christmas markets - so I have been told!.
So a sampling of four of them yesterday. But first a walk through Tiergarten to the Brandeburg Gate and then up to Alexanerplatz and the first market. Not all that impressed but the other three were smashing, especially the last one, after dark with all the lights on. Mrs Miggins spent the princely sum of €7 on our annual addition to our Christmas tree decorations.
13 miles covered yesterday so a lazy start before heading over to Charlottenberg for yet another explosion of tinsel and expensive tat!
Thank you @AnnbIt’s frustrating when you take the time to be clear, only for someone on the other end to misunderstand/misinterpret something so straightforward.@gennepher
So sorry to hear of more frustration for you Gennepher. It all just shows how tough you have to be to cope with uncaring carers and unprofessional professionals. Really liking the painting - pity it's the last of the series.

Lovely pictures, @dunelm. Enjoy the rest of your German tour.
7.2 at 04.00 today. Soon down to 6.5 but up again over a cup of tea.
Quiet day today, at least until the evening when I have a Zoom meeting to go to. Just a bit of washing to do (well, the machine will do it, I just have to get it out to the back porch and loaded, which just about breaks my back). First load is in but there's more to do - it all gets left to the weekend when we have a few hours of cheap electricity.
I fully expect to hear that the pigs' accommodation has been decorated this year, and that the pigs have Christmas costumes. What a crackling idea. @Lamont D and @gennepher sympathy in dealing with what I assume is something similar to the nasty little so and so of a bug stalking this family. @alf_Josiah deck your halls, lounges, conservatories, West Wings, Ball Rooms, Mezzanines, Guest Houses, Granny Annexes, Staff Lodges and stables or not - just hang tough fella. Y'all have the best Advent Sunday you can9.5 at 01.55 today. I got to bed about 24.30 but didn't last long there. Rest of the night, to about 05.30 in the big chair. Knees playing up - just as well I am using 2 sticks to get around now, or I'd go over. Can't decide whether I'm hot or cold today. I keep taking off my big jumper, leaving my arms bare, putting on a light shawl, taking it off, putting the jumper back on, topping with the shawl.... I don't think the temperature in the house is changing much - it's just me.
We're a miserable lot in this house. My late husband, being from a strict Presbyterian family background, didn't celebrate Christmas or birthdays so he was uncomfortable when I put decorations up around the house, and I ended up just decorating the boys' bedrooms. As they grew up, they developed the same preferences as their dad, so the decorations stopped. There seems little point in decorating the house for me, especially since Neil shares the house with me. Actually, we're far from miserable - we just look like it.
Alistair, these days, goes along with the Christmas celebrations that his wife and family enjoy. I fully expect to hear that the pigs' accommodation has been decorated this year, and that the pigs have Christmas costumes as well as the dog.
