What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

What I had at the pot-luck supper was mushroom risotto. That was because what I also had was a hypo so asked for anything carbohydrate to get my BG to rise a bit. The risotto was very good, as I had hoped it would be. BG still didn't rise after about 2 tablespoonsfull of risotto so I dug my emergency digestive biscuit out of my bag. Between them they did the job and it reversed the drop. Trouble then, of course, was that it went too far the other way and topped out in the 11's, at which point I took some insulin and it started to come back down. Down to 9.8 now. Does eating carbs make anyone else very hungry? It does me. I am starving but will just have to put up with it because I don't dare have anything else tonight.

As expected, by the time I got in I was completely shattered and fell asleep in the big chair for a couple of hours. It was only when I woke up that I took painkillers - about an hour ago so I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight under the influence of them.

Fbg 6.5

The only photo I took today...for creativity...

I thought I had taken some other photos, when I came to look just now this is the only one, otherwise it's my untidy bedroom which I have not yet finished ...... And there's no time left to do a painting...

I was tired when I got back from picking up medicines and various other stuff and some shopping, that I fell asleep for the rest of the day...

Night night from me
Sweet dreams

This looks a really cosy space.

Good morning all from a very bright L.A. on St Lucy's day 2025. I don't know my fbg to share. @Lamont D hugs for the hospitalisation of Mrs L, your own issues with the bugs circulating and white goods breaking down. @gennepher hugs for how tiring collecting meds and shopping makes you. @alf_Josiah hugs for all the medical visits but well done for retaining your humour through all this. I remember you saying radiotherapy left you feeling tired, I understand now. In my case it has also made my sacrum worse, at least for now, besides a few other issues. Have a song, work of art and a poem since it is (still) Advent so, despite our issues, now but not yet is an honest summary of where we are at.

5.7 this morning.

Mr K did his first dog walk since becoming ill at the end of September. We didn't go far, but it was so lovely to start getting back to normal. Bonnie was really happy also.

My replacement card arrived. It is a different design from my other card. The number on the card is so much easier to read than my cancelled card, which was almost impossible to decipher.

This made updating the card with various companies much easier.

I also decided put a screen lock on all my devices for extra safety. It is a bit annoying but my daughter says that I will get used to it.

Evening, more issues with electric lights this morning, a set of chrimbo lights went in bin.
Mrs L is having a quiet day.
Gammon for late dinner, back from the footie this afternoon.
#2 grandson birthday today. Spoke to him on phone this morning, having a day out in yorkieland.
Spring bulbs abundantly growing in gardens now, with the warmer weather these past few weeks and lots of rain.
Take care you lot, best wishes.
