What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

5.8 this morning.
Actually, I feel a lot better today. I was really surprised that just one sleepless night and the stress of Mr K at A&E had made me feel tired until today.

If course, knowing Mr K is feeling a bit better has also helpef

Morning all from a beautiful start to October weatherwise here. My fbg was 5.3 probably due to this ongoing unspecified sub optimal feeling. If the Google Health metrics are to be believed - the word if is doing a lot of heavy lifting there - most major factors are fine so I guess it is some virus. Thermometer and oxymeter agree with the wearable and BP is normal. @Krystyna23040 thank you for the good wishes for JKP. This virus seems to have hit her harder as she was up at 3.00 am this morning but is now - hopefully - sleeping. Peace be with you all.
There is a horrible virus going around at the moment. Hopefully you are ok.

Ouch! Ouch! and ouch again! The only joints that are not incredibly painful today are my elbows. New lumps have appeared on my hands overnight and my legs felt as though they were bursting through my bandages with every throb this morning. Must be the GPs anti-uric acid pills having an effect. He did say they might make my hands worse before they made them better. Didn't mention all the rest. He did giver me some steroids to alleviate the effect but I'd much rather not take steroids so will try to just put up with it for now.

Libre just sounded a high BG alarm (8.1) which is odd since I haven't even had breakfast yet (14.35). Inflammation to blame, I suppose.

6.3 at 02.45 today.
I do hope the anti-uric acid tablets start to alleviate the pain very soon @Annb

So good to hear from you @Lamont D. Family history is fascinating stuff, isn't it? Some of my ancestors were Welsh as well. We're all mongrels of some kind. When you get your wheelchair, there'll be no stopping you. I hope you get it soon.

Nice to hear from you.Take care x

Morning all from a sunny start to one of the last few days which could pass for a reconditioned summer. FBG of 5.1 which is above trend but nothing outrageous. JKP had a solid 10 hrs sleep with a score of 80 (the benchmark for good) on Google Health so a better start to the day. Wonderful to hear from you @Lamont D and I also hope the wheelchair situation is resolved as soon as. @Krystyna23040 I'm pleased to hear you feel you have recovered from the A and E visit. This virus seems to clear then come back. The data from Google Health for O2 levels and resting pulse show that clearly. Gives a pseudo-scientific gloss to man flu :D Peace be with you.

Really good that JKP had a good night's sleep. Hope your recovery from the horrid virus goes well @ianpspurs

Morning all on a dull start here in L.A. where my FBG was 4.6. We are assuming this is a virus and not the American COVID now touring the UK. Either way it seems hard to shift but doesn't really have any symptoms which would demand medical attention. @Annb good news that at least one hand is less painful, perhaps the uric acid levels are starting to recede. @Krystyna23040 I'm delighted to read that yesterday was a good day. Long may those continue. I hope Mr K is resting and recovering. Peace be with you all.

Blood sugars this morning were 9.2, below my hospital upper limit of 10.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, are you sitting with your legs up?
Mrs J pegged some washing out earlier, said washing was nearly dry then it started to rain, so said washing is now being washed again ‍

Now a beard trim and leg dressing is on the agenda

Share the hug as sympathy for the long suffering Mrs A J. and your leg dressing.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Yes, Mr K is being very sensible and resting and recovering.

Good that the virus doesn't need medical intervention but rather annoying that it is hard to shift.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, unfortunately Me, me’s and myself must report that yesterday was a disaster a total disaster darlings, Mrs J cut my hair and trimmed my beard and I now no longer look like a member of that pop band ZZ Top .

Stay safe all and koffy is calling.

Morning all from a sunny L.A. where my FBG was 4.8. Trinity 18 today - stand by those sprouts but don't start just yet, not even for Heston fans. There's been no frost yet and one shouldn't eat sprouts until there's been a frost on them according to Ye Olde Fenland Lore. @alf_Josiah who are/were these ZZ Top people of whom you speak? @Krystyna23040 good that you had the jabs and feel no ill effects. Mine will be later in the month in Newmarket at a new venue - once the horses have been mucked out for winter :D JKP has had me watching the Celebrity Traitors (as a trade off for all the sport - an upgrade to the OS on this Chromebook makes SkyGo incompatible) oh my:rolleyes:. How did we get here? Peace be with you.
