Aw not again3.3 then after treating 3.8 then 5.0
Have a good day peeps
.
@ianpspurs -- I have seen my fasting glucose go up by about half a mmol to one mmol in the last year -- so obviously a bit worried about this. It seems this sometimes happen when you have a low-carb or ketogenic diet and is called adaptive glucose sparing. I found this an interesting read https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/fasting-blood-glucose-higher.

@Granny_grump_ I try to have something in the fridge. My own 'go to' is a type of microwave mug cake, I use one mix to make 3 small ones. I'm not at home at the moment but I'll post the basic recipe I use later in case it will be useful.
Hi Karen how's the short break been your BG is doing fine by the way in spite of your holiday,I usually don't test when I go away I'm on holiday from it all, but being type1 you obviously can't do that, anyway hope you found time to chill out and relax! K6.8 for me have a great day all

@Glenmac wishing you good luck with your x-ray I'm a little behind everything today had a few appointments that took up most of yesterday hence just catching up with everyone at this unholy hour 4-30 am been awake since 3 am.Good morning 6.2 today.Off to see consultant later.Hoping the X-ray says everything is healing and I don't have to have an operation.Even better if I have some idea when the plaster will be off!........I'm getting impatient and feel I've "done"snow and broken bones, now it's time for something different!!
@ziggy_w Thanks for the ideas I need a kick up the bum to get me back on track,I'll give the chocolate a try really been very busy lately and not much time for myself but hopefully it will get easier! KHello all. Blood sugars this morning were 4.9. Still suffering from a cold, which unfortunately has gotten worse. Felt too weak to exercise yesterday, but haven't eaten since 5:30 p.m.
@Granny_grump_ -- I agree with @geefull. It is best to have something available when you feel a sweet snack attack coming on. I usually have either have a low-carb cake or low-carb chocolate mousse prepared (most have somewhere from 1g to 5g of carbs per 100g. Yesterday, I also made my own caramel-coated pecans (caramel prepared with erythritol and cream). So, I am not tempted by something much worse. If you are not so much into baking, high cocoa-content chocolate also works. The one I prefer has 85% cocoa content with 16g of carbs per 100g. So, even if I get carried away and eat half of the 80g bar, it is only about 7g of carbs. On my glucometer, this hardly makes a bump. Of course, there are also the savory go-to snacks such as cheese, nuts, pork rinds, and olives.
