What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi @ianpspurs, as has been suggested already, perhaps eat to the meter. Of course you could end up stabbing yourself to death.
Thanks @dunelm Unfortunately, I very definitely eat (and fast) to the meter and am assiduous about measuring and recording. I also rapidly jettison meals/foods which go higher than my threshold. It is the level of tolerance I now need to give each meal, day, month etc that concerns me. It seems that it must be so large to be "safe" as to be unrealistic i.e. well below 5 at 2 hrs Of course, without CGM I have no idea what is going on at other times to skew my actual levels. Anyhow, thanks for the input and I would be very bored without all this to mull over.

Lessons learned the hard way. Don’t try and answer the phone in the middle of a finger prick test.
One wasted strip, blood smeared everywhere, completely distracted on call so can’t remember it all. Reading wasn’t what I wanted either.
Where did I put the wipes?

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and lords of the dance ???? Where did that come from, I must kneed koffy, strong koffy.

Today was an 8.0, but I had a very high fat dinner last night, rather the 8 than low 5's, but that's just me.

Well folks it's nice down sarf at the moment and Mrs J has yet to inform of my plans for the day. Has a goods one all.

Morning all... a bit late logging on today. I had a waking reading of 6.4 .... a bit disappointing as I had a very light eating day yesterday but it was a long day or rather a short night.. I do love these long light days especially if the sun is shining ...
