Not at all @Keesha the prawns were from Iceland and out if a packet but only 2g carbs per prawn so very good value in more ways than one. The moussaka is really easy. Basically all your ingredients thrown in a wok! Minced lamb red onions garlic herbs tomatoes salt pepper. Once cooked pop in an over proof dish. Cover with aubergine. Top with a jar of white cheesy sauce (lowest carb you can find....i miggt be more adventurous and make my own next time but as it didn't out BS up I might just not bother!). Spread thinly. And cover with cheese sprinkle with parmesan and black pepper. Very very ysstu and BS hardly rose! Tested every half hour. So a win win recipePerfect menu. You must be a great cook.
I have been a very safe eater for about 6 months @flexi06. Eggs cheese ham or kippers for breakfast/brunch and meat n veg or salad for dinner. But over the last month now that I'm classed as in remission and mysugr confirms this with the daily readings input I've felt more confident to try new foods. When I try anything new I test as follows: before I take first bite then every 30 minutes for 3 hours. I've learned from past tests that it can go back up after 2 hours from hidden carbs so that's why I do 3 hours. Im also in the process of swapping to a codefree meter as the strips are so much cheaper (discount code available too) and it will work out stacks cheaper for me. Hope this helps.Morning all, 6.4 today not great but not the end of the world. Hey @Debandez, you say u tested every half hour- please can you elaborate- do you start at 2 hours post p or straight away after eating? and how long do u go on for. This seems like a good idea for “ new foods”
