@DJC3 am so envious when I cross theborder into Cornwall I instantly relax and am happy. Have a safe trip and enjoy the time with your daughters and grandchildren.5.3 this morning.
Just packing up the car for the long drive down to Cornwall for a few weeks to see daughters number 1 and 3 and my 2 grandchildren.
Cornwall seemed to agree with you last time so it should be good. Enjoy yourself - is your husband going? With so many females in one family he must be a saint5.3 this morning.

Have a good trip to US - but you might find it difficult to find low carb meals there.
Urghhhhhhhhhhhh...I still suffer flash backs from selling my home in London PM & that was almost five years ago...if there'sThanks Shelley so much. I will look into Headspace for sure. Yesterday was the second anniversary of my friends suicide and today is my estranged fathers birhday, always difficult days. Plus we are putting our house on the market and that is an experience I loathe.
Interesting that plenty of people rate buying and selling as stressful. I have always found them very low on the stressometer. On the other hand I can can count the holidays I have enjoyed in my adult years on the fingers of one hand with some fingers not included. Just me then?Urghhhhhhhhhhhh...I still suffer flash backs from selling my home in London PM & that was almost five years ago...if there's
anything stress inducing that is one of the worse...fingers crossed you get lucky with the sale & finding another...just relax & breathe
Bubbsie...you too? We are 13 years here longest we’ve been anywhere but garden is way too much now and we dont need so much space. Giving it a shot before the Brexit Spring but the market is tetchy. The move here was laden with problems. @ianpspurs were you an estate agent in another life?Urghhhhhhhhhhhh...I still suffer flash backs from selling my home in London PM & that was almost five years ago...if there's

I’m going myself in a couple of weeks - I’ll give you a virtual wave when I get there.5.3 this morning.

I think that is unanimous from all of us!! Change.org or something similar? It's on my list of things to look into. It's really such a sad situation. Fingers crossed the tide turns sooner rather than later. Enjoy a bit of Yorkshire with your mum .Happy August everyone and gather happy Yorkshire Day too according to classic FM as someone born in Barnsley although now down south ! I’m taking the opportunity to celebrate today with my mum who’s brought Yorkshire down to us!
4.7 this morning.
I’ve been reading back just and truly shocked about all the sheer rubbish taught on all these courses that I wasn’t invited to thankfully and thinking that group legal actions ought to be started by all those diabetics who take the advice and end up deteriorating losing limbs etc. I find it very sad that the legal action that does take place seems to be against medics who stand up and advise on low carb - the tide will turn eventually hopefully.
Meanwhile on with Yorkshire day........
@PenguinMum Nope just always been lucky I guess and had a very utility based view. My family needed a shelter in a reasonable area but this home - family base - was the only place I would ever fit. Always worked out OK and sold our 2 London places same day. Only place I ever felt wholly uncomfortable in was SE25 but Mrs P had family reasons for being there - we stayed about a year as first son was born and I would not have my children grow up there.@ianpspurs were you an estate agent in another life?
Try the free Headspace first don’t pay. I do pay a subscription as use it several times a day and works for me it’s about the price of one coffee a week but you need to checkout that it works for you before subscribing. I really like his voice but as I said it needs to work for you. There are free 10 sessions introducing you to meditation to trial and you can just stay at this free level repeating the 10 sessions if you don’t want to take it further. Thanks Shelley so much. meanwhile our NHS runs down hill. http://www.nutritioninsight.com/news/UK-NHS-Spending-on-Diabetes-to-Reach-169-Billion-by-2035.htmlThat is akin to the DESMOND course & the dietary advice given there...thankfully I had already found some solid information before attending it...shocking this approach is acceptable...how money is expended on it...still if we could reverse/cure our diabetes than there would be little profit in that for the corporate sponsors (and others)...the old adage...where's there's muck there's money (metaphorically speaking of course).
I used to worry about coffee. A few years back when I'd just started HFLC diet I tested this and found it did make a difference. More than 2 years down the line it seems to help.... Go figure. .... Meantime I'm happy to start my day with a bullet proof coffee, with one or two, or sometimes more during the day..... Plenty of water with it mind, which is something our continental friends seem to know about but coffee here generally is served without a side of water....I couldn't ditch the coffee rhubarb...never...just reading your post brought me out in a cold sweat
cough .......Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who hate August ?
A 6.0 for me this morning?
Well folks time to start thinking about those dreaded Christmas card lists and all things festive now summer is over and we are on the run up Christmas.
Have a good one folks.
Welcome back,karen8967. Bet you've made lots of happy memories.6.2 for me back from santorini after celebrating my sons wedding never posted bgs while away as run them a little higher than if i was home had a fabulous time very emotional hope everyones well have a great day all
I notice the lack of water with coffee here as opposed to the continent. I have also read - on here I think - that coffee consumption can help people avoid T2. Maybe lowering bg levels has had a similar effect on you? Alternatively, correlation may not be causation but if it works all is good.I used to worry about coffee.
