What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All. 6.1 this morning. Awful day yesterday of sicknsess, throwing up and after prob too carby supper of one slice toast and scrambled eggs and a 7.3g yogurt my BG went up to 10 two hours later. That scared the life out of me! Have been shivering all night and piling on pjs dressing gown, socks etc.
Hope those in Birmingham and all others have a good day.

6.3 this morning. Higher than usual. Usually in the 5s. Low carb day as usual yesterday. It included a fabulous 3 course meal at Jamie's Italian here in Birmingham. What a fantastic choice that was @Rachox. Faultless. Waitress who really went the extra mile. Yummy food and nicely low carb for all. The dessert did make me smile. Using @Goonergal's gorgeous chocolate they made us a heavenly dessert following a recipe we threw at them. Of course double cream was involved in the mix.... with strawberries ....and nuts. And for the topping.....double cream of course

Very excited for our event today. I'm taking copious notes and will be feeding back to all as soon as possible. I know lots more would have liked to have joined us but for whatever reason couldnt on this occasion. Next time

Have a good day.

Hope you feel better soon @PenguinMum
All going really well here and we are looking forward to a great event. Will be feeding back asap x

Good morning all. 5.3 this am. Nice bright morning here. Shall avail with a long walk again, but with 20 mins of resistance training first.
Its Pops 80th next week, so on a mision to find a pressent. Thinking about an ipad, he has an old one he uses a lot, so an upgrade on the speed and battery life, should work.
Curious to see the reports from Brum. Hope everyone is well. Have a great weekend.

Hope you feel better soon

Poor you do take care of yourself probably not feeling good too will have put your bgs up

Hope it all goes well today. Sorry i cant be there, next time!!

Morning all. Very sunny and warm here so Autumn can wait a little longer. Birmingham event sounds as though it started well which must have pleased you @Debandez after all your hard work. @Goacher55 Boots and socks in September, really? 3 years at Uni with the professional Yorkies telling everyone how tough you all are and then you come up with this
What chance my bg being way out of range on September 1st 2016 and 2018 - 6.3 - (which is as high as any 2 hr reading in last year)? Just fuels my distrust of accuracy of testing.
@PenguinMum please take care of yourself - I've seen where caring for others, without properly looking after oneself can lead, and it was not nice.

@ianpspurs glad the weather has turned around, mid 20s v good. Perplexing FB result for you but you havent been quite well in recent days.
I am blaming my malaise on pork scratchings (first and defo last time for them). They are just fat and were a push too far for me on an empty stomach. Then I made matters worse by having my eggs with a slice of toast. But...who dosnt crave toast after upset tum. Lesson learnt. Have a good day in this fine weather.
PS. I have been thinking of adding 2 teasp ground ginger and 1 teasp allspice maybe grating of nutmeg to vary the flaxseed rolls. 1 g carbs per teasp but divided between 6 rolls ok I think. Will let you know.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who ????? ( I don't know either ).

Late on parade this morning overslept till 9: 15 therefore 7.8 for me this morning.

Got to get going , tanks to make, plinky plonky practice to complete only an hour's worth and if lucky a ride on the motorcycle.

Have a good one folks.

Hope you feel better soon @PenguinMum

That photo last nght made me think of the great song (written by Aretha Franklin) “Sisters are doing it for themselves”. Good theme song I think!

Good morning all.

@PenguinMum -- So sorry to hear about your experience last night. I hope you feel better today.
@Cumberland -- It's great to see that your blood sugar numbers are returning to normal for you.
@ianpspurs -- Hugs. Blood sugars of 6.3 for you is a lot higher than what you usually see.

Blood sugars this morning were 4.4 -- probably thanks to two and half glasses of red wine last evening.

Have a great weekend all.
