@PenguinMum I hope the tail end of storm Vera the virus disperses ASAP. re recipes, I/we find there are far too many (costly of time, ingredients and expectation) frogs to be kissed in LC/Keto land before any Earl or Duke is found never mind a PrinceMorning All. 6.1 at 0800. Maybe tum bug isnt finished yet has a very safe and restrained day of food. Made my favoured Low Carb Granola bars from Beauty and the foodie.com. They are very good and store well in a tin for up to 10 days. I used only 1 tabsp Xylitol (not 3 as they suggest) and use 1 tabsp Maple Syrup rather than Molases. Had another go at Coconut flour cupcakes flavoured with lemon essence and raspberries. What a sorry show for 3 eggs, 4 measly uninspiring cakes. Not tasted yet but I can honestly say me and covonut flour are over. Havent tried the ginger Flaxseed rolls yet as have a fridge full of normal ones. Love them!
Have a great day everyone. X
Vera the virus made me laugh! How are you and your unnamed virus though? You’re right about recipes, I cant stand food waste and coconut flour leads to rhat big time IMO. Oh but its great when you find something that works for you like the F/S rolls. Maybe if it aint broken dont fix it but I have a longing for gingerbread.@PenguinMum I hope the tail end of storm Vera the virus disperses ASAP. re recipes, I/we find there are far too many (costly of time, ingredients and expectation) frogs to be kissed in LC/Keto land before any Earl or Duke is found never mind a Prince
Good luck with Keto @Canvaspic, what level of carbs are you on per day? Are you looking at doing fasting as well as Keto?Good morning all. 5.3 today. Very low carb for past 2 days, will stick with that for a week, then push to get into ketosis. Sunny here, ideal for a long walk.
Hugs to @Cumberland, you seem to to be on a BS trampoline at the moment, hope it smooths out.
Hope everyone else is well, have a great day.
I have no idea how long you've been diagnosed Moggely...I do have 5's fairly regularly with my waking levels...it took me a while to get there...I approached my diabetes at a slow steady pace...like you I thought I'd never get there...once I did anything above a low 5 in the morning would put me in a spin...nowadays it doesn't...sometimes I think we can get fixated on our waking numbers in isloation...when what we should be looking at is our overall management...that's what matters ultimately.oh ok @ianpspurs point taken and i am always willing to learn. But my point was, i would love to have some 5's and lower, maybe i never will. Who know, but to those that do..."congratulations" I envy you.
