What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Take care @PenguinMum so sorry to hear about your health being in pain makes sleep almost impossible and all of which puts the bgs up. You are clearly doing all the right things re food etc but need to ride this one out by being as kind to yourself as possible. One thing to bear in mind is that in the past when pain and lack of sleep happened your bgs may well have been much much higher if eating too much comfort food so do bear this in mind - you’re doing great sticking at the food choices. Mine was easyish in Greece as lots of easy lc choices of stuff that are my fave things, sardines, feta cheese, lamb, eggs and Greek yoghurt so consider myself lucky.

Good job Chronicle

My highest FBG of 6.8 this morning. This cold that’s been brewing has hit full force with what feels like golf ball size swollen glands to suit- so guess I may be in a for a few days of frustrating readings
Prioritise that cold Emma...time enough to get those BG's back down when you're feeling better.

Full on lurgy hits home here. I knew something was amiss yesterday when I fell off my bike. I wasn't moving but - Boom, -head to pavement and a lump today to prove it . At the time I just felt , you know stupid, plainly dumb, after all I've been riding bikes for ever .. It was especially emabassing as a very Kindly gent stopped to see if I was alright, honestly how nice some people are and my pride was so wounded I couldnt respond, I was also winded I'll say in my defence. .
.. I think it was the first sign of lack of balance from a gunged up throat /ears, plus trying to fit more into a day/moment than is technically possible . So hopefully can have a peaceful day doing as little as possible . Oh yea blood reading this morning 5.8. Take it easy if you can , Ironically I've just had a text to say that I can have a flu jab! - What feeling like this I want to respond but of course its a one way texting system they use....... hey Ho !

@relic I am sorry you and your husband are struggling. I can only suggest you start a new thread telling us more about your situation and then I think the many experienced and helpful people on the forum might be able to assist. Meanwhile try not to fret but reach out for help or just a shoulder to cry on.

@OrsonKartt sorry to hear about your tumble but glad no serious injuries. An upper respiratory infection viral or otherwise can really drag you down (literally lol) so please take life a bit easier till it goes. Great BG all things considered.

Good luck

Oh poor you hope your knee will be better soon

Sod it geefull treat yourself to lunch....why on earth not...by the time you've finished it the eye screening will be but a distant memory...shame about the lack of sleep...I'm a nightmare without sufficient sleep...a good walk after lunch will perk you up

Bloody hell Orson what a nightmare...you need to rest today after a tumble... all those muscles that stretched to protect you in the fall can be so painful the following day...yes the kindness of strangers is touching I'm sure he understood why you didn't respond...get something for that cold/flu...if you were nearer I'd dispatch a pot of home made chicken soup...I swear by it...take care...despite your ailments holding up well with a 5.8
