What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning- will chat more later but first I need to get to the start line for a 15 mile road race (running) this morning. This would have been unthinkable 6 months ago.
I’m weighing in at 83.3kg, 18.2kg down since May.
BG of 5.8 this morning so good to go.
Wish me luck - this is gonna be proper hard.
Goodluck rhubarb73 x

Morning...I had a better sleep last night thank goodness...one coffee in I need more ...paperwork today...I hate paperwork... but it has to be done... no paperwork no invoices...woke to a 5.3

A good sleep helps everything but paperwork, yuk, I hate it, I helped a friend move his garage and shed contents yesterday which though hard work is great for the BS levels.

You should be proud young man. Really very envious of those who can run but happy for you all at the same time.
Edit: For the first time since I was training for the London marathon I am probably fit enough to run regularly but biomechanically is no possible Mr Fawlty. :arghh::arghh:

Mrs P had my wedding ring made by a friend in the trade at Covent Garden and engraved with the date. I tried to lose it at a cricket match but it was returned mangled. A work colleague had been a jewellery maker and mended it. Oh. and it is almost always when the clocks change:angelic:

I also had Mr C’s wedding ring made and engraved by a friend’s dad. Didn’t stop Mr C losing it after 3 days while we were on honeymoon. We went swimming in the sea at Slapton in Devon and it slipped off in the water. We thought of borrowing a metal detector from a local field centre, but There are still unexploded bombs around there so we couldn’t do that and its a pebbly beach - the water and the sun glinting on the pepples made everything glitter. He was quite upset, I was in 2 minds - to hug him or hit him!
I still wonder if a lucky fisherman ever found it in the gut of a cod.
