What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good afternoon everyone. 4.8 this morning (ended a short fast this morning.)

A few snowflakes in the air coming home from the grocery store but I don't think we've got an "accumulation" as our weather people describe it. It's cold with a nasty wind today. I finally got the leaves raked yesterday as we've had days of rain. It ended up being 12 bags for city composting - we have a linden tree and 3 large old maples on our lot. Our city fines you thousands of $ if you remove living trees from the "tree canopy" so although they are starting die from old age, we have still have lots of raking every autumn.

Hope everyone had a good Saturday. I had a lovely catch up lunch with old friends and was very restrained. Dont subject anyone to metering in those situations (which are rare) and just chose wisely as possible. We had awful rain and thunderstorms this aft.

Morning...this cat is not meteorologically savvy...go out in the rain you get wet... refuse to come in you getter wetter....it's a simple equation...there's no point complaining...off to do his bidding & prepare his breakfast...woke to a 5.9
 
Morning all. a 5.9 at 5 am , I was up to visit the piper doing his thing at the most easterly point in honour of fallen dead etc. I normally wouldn't bother but I wanted to experience it. My dad was in the RAF and my Uncle despite being jewish was in the Lufwaffe . I guess they all did what they did in order to survive. This mornings ceremony was fine until the light started coming up and it was noticeable that the gold chained mayors / councillors / politicians were looking and chatting smugly among themselves. So not so much quiet contemplation more of a political purposed event. Hey ho , what a world we live in . Enjoy your Sunday all.
 
Morning All. 5.7 at 07.30. Happy with that and ate well yesterday.
Hope you all survived torrential rain and storms yesterday afternoon. I came home to dripping ceiling so need to find a roofer pdq. The rain was biblical.

Morning all late dinner yesterday evening after another wet motorway drive. Mums pre operative assessment cancelled she wasn’t well enough so needs to be rearranged so back again. I’m not too concerned as I need to go up every four weeks or so to care for her just need to try and get date and build around it
Bg 5.4 little bit higher than usual for me but finished two squares of choc quite late and also got washing machine going this morning before testing !
Feel happy to be home again and grateful to have a more peaceful, relaxing day planned. Hope mine and everyone else days and plans go well
@OrsonKartt loved reading about you going to hear the piper this morning what an experience.
 
@shelley262 hope your mum gets better soon. You must be glad to be back in your own home and bed. We do anything for the people we love but theres no place like home. Have a relaxing day.
 
@OrsonKartt what a fantastic and valuable experience huge respect to you for that.
My FBG was 5.7 - hugely **ssed off by that. This was sold as a bg control WOE/lifestyle but for me it seems to work as a highly restrictive diet that sometimes has those benefits. This is not negative or anti LC because I can find no alternative that is even this effective.
Oh, sleep has been sorted for 2 nights and weight is now currently into BMI of 21s but this is a blood sugar issue. Am I wanting too much for this to be be fit for purpose?
