What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I watched the Chiefs against the Saints yesterday good match especially the 80 metre try.

I watched that game as well. Both Franklin's Gardens and the playing surface so much improved since the mid to late 70s when I used to go This is a good game - think Quins should be down to 14. This fixture - between Christmas and New Year - is a great social event. One son gave us a Christmas present of a box and tickets one year.

On a slightly different note I am staying away from the sitting room and the tv as I have a Gooner and a Liverpool supporter in there watching Liverpool trash Arsenal at the moment not a pleasant atmosphere. Oh Ian my commiserations on the Spurs wolves match a real surprise result.

No need to commiserate - so very Spursy and why I maintain Poch is not a winner.

Sorry to disagree, @JohnEGreen
the portents where there...LINK LINK
though to be fair spurs have been flying along lately.

wolves have had a game plan since they came up..
our chaps afterwards copied them and got the result against CITY..

You have to work to deserve a win - we didn't so we lost simples. Now fine them a weeks wages Poch

Um ... would that be Ham and Swiss checks?

I'd rather watch rugby too but nothing on here today AFAIK.

Health and Safety or for a seasonal touch Elf and Safety. I love that you could turn that into Ham and Swiss

Of course we are all entitled to our opinion so no need to be sorry, if you disagree, I was not necessarily surprised that Wolves won just the scale of it and the margin they won by I thought it would be closer.

But I'm happy at the moment Liverpool were superb and I am by birth a Scouser and a Kopite
First stood on the Kop end at Anfield when but a toddler.

And war did not breake out in my house at the end of the match.

7.3 yesterday. Shocking! For me.
5.8 today. That's more like it!
Tomorrow I can tell you now will not be in the 5s!!! Christmas get behind me!

Hope you are all being more disciplined than I am tonight!!! Soon be 1st Jan so I'm not worried

"Elf and Safety" -- love it! @ianpspurs

And here I was last night, watching A Hard Day's Night and at the end the Beatles took off in a BEAtles helicopter for Wolverhampton.

@JohnEGreen I first learned the word "Scouser" in February 1964. The football team has bittersweet associations for me because of bittersweet memories of a Liverpool fan (who taught me unintentionally that sometimes one should walk alone), but as for the city itself ... someday I'd like to see Mathew Street and Arnold Grove as well as Penny Lane ...

I've been eating very badly (and yummily) for 5 days now. Hadn't planned to but finally I just said, oh, enjoy but quit at midnight Monday night.

At least the ice cream and brownies are low-carb and the pizza will be too.

Quick three day catch up - hoping to get back to regular recording again in the am. Good to catch up with everyone’s news - a lot of reading!
I’ve had a Very busy and stressful couple of days, travelling, organising Mums 88th birthday party at her local club for about 100+ friends and family, and dealing with mums cold house caused by a completely bust boiler that I’ve had to arrange to have replaced - booked for New Year’s Eve! Brother now looking after mum for a few days after our three week caring stint as he lives only two miles from her and he has heat and hot water! I live 120 miles away and mum wanted to stay in York’s near her friends.
Thursday 5.7
Friday - 5.2
Today - 5.6
I so enjoyed my hot shower on my return home eventually today - as a child we didn’t have central heating and water often had to be boiled in a pan for washing but I’ve become a softie clearly as I didn’t like it one bit over last few days! I’m very grateful temps not too low although mums house had been empty for almost three weeks so the cold felt it had got into fabric of the house. I’m really appreciating my central heating too! Since I got thinner I feel the cold more too!

I remember the old days when a kiddie the tin bath in front of an open fire wonderful.

As my son didn't come up till the 27th we are having a rerun of Christmas and new year celebration rolled into one a bit of a carb fest but from new year will be back on the low carb wagon
