What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I'm stood here on the bathroom floor
Lancet poised, its blood to draw
It's such a tiresome daily chore
But one, I fear, I can't ignore
The meter's saying 6.4
It's not the most exciting score
I have it several times before
My record lately has been poor
So I should be pleased that it's not more

(somebody stop me)

6.4 ain't too bad
there are worse numbers to be had.

...like 6.6. Morning All. I think late suppers and late rising doesnt help but will keep trying to improve. Cooking the Lamb shanks Madras recipe today, son and his friend coming to dinner. Meant to cook it yesterday but ran out of steam.
Hope you all have a relaxing Saturday. Stsy well, safeand in control

I have just watched the video of your interview. What struck me was the downsides that people seem to fixate upon. Like you, I get comments about such things as cholesterol, but mine have always been fine. I love your comment on some foods being “fillers” , great way to think about it. Good luck to your mum, I wish I could persuade my mother in law to do similar.

3.3! Way too low but my appetite is severely diminished at the moment and starting from a very narrow diet to begin with and then having it shrink further, is not ideal.

So, aim for today, more carbs.
