What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Goodnight, everyone.
@karen8967 may I recommend a cat?
I get under the covers, the KittenCat gets under the covers beside me.
I get too hot, and throw the covers off.
She snuggles up closer beside me.
I get cold, and pull the covers back up.
She stretches and starts to purr.
I get hot again and stick a foot out from under the covers.
I hear a creepy noise but she isn't bothered, so I go back to sleep.
I hear another noise. It is daylight. She is up and out of bed and eating her breakfast.
I smile and go back to sleep.

Without sounding patronising or condescending Debandez...I wonder how many patients realise their GP practices are not salaried employees of the NHS..essentially they are private partnerships with NHS contracts...clearly there has to be control of how budgets are set/spent... that's the remit of the local CCGs who's members can have six figure salaries...however I would have thought value for money would be essential...quality control essential...could the awful advice regularly churned out on dietary choices for T2's come within those two categories...NO...the lack of alternative diets to manage BG's...the archaic DESMOND courses which seem to be gold standard courses for the newly diagnosed T2's...the refusal to provide testing strips...the trite old excuses used to justify not providing good solid consistent care & advice for T2's...private enterprise has been in our health service 'silently' for many years...you're right money is the root of all evil...it talks!
Could not agree more.

Sometimes I think I don't go to bed until about the time the sun is rising over England.
Then it heads west across the ocean but I'm awake again before it reaches these shores.
Then, because I am as many hours distance-wise from the Eastern seaboard as I am time-wise from England, the sun has to travel even farther to get to me, about the time the moon is setting this time of year.

I'm starting to think too much. Time for bed. Early tonight.
