What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Have a great time dunelm x

All weeks it’s killed me get up for work - I’ve been in really deep sleep when the alarms gone off. Typical isn’t it

Same here - slept deeply all week (although it’s very rare that I actually need the alarm to wake me up). Usually up early at the weekend too, but it’s annoying not to sleep properly on days with no special reason to be up. However, I did have the gym largely to myself!

Good morning all.

@shelley262, @Debandez, @Goonergal -- Seems like lots of Lidl protein rolls around lately. Sure wished I could have them, but suspect I'm a bit gluten sensitive -- they do sound and look delicious though.
@HarrisonK and @OrsonKartt -- Hope you feel better soon.

Didn't get to post yesterday, early day at work. Fasting blood sugars yesterday and today were 4.7 and 4.6.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I see your point jjraak...but I'm having toast this morning

6.3 this morning which is surprising. I came down with a chest infection so they put on antib's and steroids yesterday, my bg went all over the shop so I was expecting higher this morning. Anyway, soldier on and hope you all enjoy the weekend
Hope that infection is on the wane Harrison...6.3 with antibiotics impressive.

Morning...absolutely freezing here & just started snowing...urghh...fell asleep in the comfy chair woke up at 3am...sloped off to bed...not up until 8am...heating on...coffee on...about to light the fire...more coffee needed...woke to a 5.9

6.7. That seems a little high after 14 hours without anything..but so long as it’s below 7.0 I can live with that and if I test again in a couple of hours it will have dropped, hopefully.

But, it’s okay.

@Bubbsie Churchill looks like hehas it all sussed out and I would wagerhe keeps Harry in check! Funny how cats like high positions if you know what I mean.
He has indeed PM...Harry is desperate to play with him...Churchill tolerates him...Harry went too far on Thursday and got one of the cats special 'leave me alone' swipes right on his fat pink nose...I've never seen Harry move so fast!

Morning all, I woke feeling a bit better this morning took my sugar levels and they were 5.9 so hopefully a good indication that whatever inflammation there was in my system is in the decline. Still as cold as a fridge here... stay warm all....

Morning 5.8 today it’s starting to creep up already now I’m not doing IF. Typical.
@Bubbsie Your ‘Plumpy’ looked adorable in his cold weather gear but it’s obvious who rules the roost in your place - Churchill’s look of disdain at being photographed made me smile.
@dunelm have a great weekend with all your family, is it a special occasion?
@HarrisonK hope you soon start to feel better, chest infections can lay you really low.
@trick60 that’s a busy weekend planned, hope your daughter keeps the coffee coming while you’re working.

Shame you can’t eat the Lidl rolls Ziggy. I expect you have easy access to them in Germany?
Hope you have a relaxing weekend, you’ve been working hard recently.

good morning all

4.6 today

It's back below freezing again this morning for us but at least the thinner areas of ice thawed eventually yesterday.

Part of the upside of being so close to the sea is we're often a bit luckier with snowfall, but, on the downside the wind chill factor can really get to you

Shopping later today, mr. gee picked up some bits yesterday after he went to the opticians but we still need to do the main shop for the weekend.

The earliest mr. gee can find out about whether they can fix the frame of his glasses is Tuesday, apparently, despite being less than two years old, the frame is 'obsolete' at least we have a longer shelf life

Hope your day treats you kindly
