Congratulations8.7 this morning, veru sore throat, so that may explain things. Very excited because my second great-niece was born yesterday afternoon. Big girl, 8 pounds 6!
Sunny day here, off to the docs for my blood tests.

Our "learning centres" seem so poor about this. My daughter who was diagnosed as dyslexic when entering uni was given no leeway . Her 1st year exams were poor so I threatened to sue. They had her tested and turns out she was the most dyslexic person ever to have entered further education. Now she is qualified but with such an unnecessary struggle and emotional time from the uni. This was 5 years ago so sorry t hear this still goes on.....I know! My consultant was trying to fight it for me, but I didn’t want to waste time fighting when I could be revising as the university said here was no extra time that could be given to me. I tried to explain risk of hypos etc but hey wasn’t having any of it.
I think the university’s view was that ‘it might go away’. Bearing in mind I’m not overweight and I’m young it seems unlikely a lifestyle change would have got rid of the diabetes..... and 4 months later here I am being insulin dependant.... clearly was never going to go away lol!
Y'all ignore my doubts and go your own way (not their best that one).
Excellent stuff @Debandez .
Will look for that link.
Liking the quote.
"So my insulin is only out on patrol twice during the 24 hour period (great for my bloodsugars as well as maintaining my weight)...."...LoL
JOHN ...judging by your list and pics, you certainly have no right waking at 830...and then making a doctor's appointment at 840am..
(Any steroids your on, are certainly working well..)
Oh my. Played that to pieces at Uni - especially whilst laid low with broken ankle from rugby- Songbird my absolute favourite. Proper nostalgic there - all better nowWorthy of a vid...loved the Mac.
Can I just ask which device people are using to get their blood results numbers? I’m new to all of this (and the forum) so I want to make sure that the results people post are from the same device as me - I have a Nexus GlucoRX, and sometimes I see quite high numbers!
So I would also like to know what to do in that situation - is is there a quick fix like drinking a load of water as well as eating the right things.
Many thanks in advance!
