What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All. 5.5 this morning. Got a very big shock yesterday. No 1 son was travelling down to celebrate his birthday with us today and had a “cardiac event”. Luckily he was able to pull into a garage and another motorist called an ambulance. They have kept him in for monitoring and he sees a cardiologist today. Not the best way to spend your 28th birthday.
Best wishes to you all. Stay well, stay safe!

Good heavens PM what a horrendous shock for you all, you will be in my thoughts today.
He is in the best place now though, and hopefully they’ll be able to figure out the problem and help.

first one was 7.5 thought high so tested again 6.5 third time tested 7.5 so although i prefer the middle result i am guessing the first and third are the true reading.

I've been getting over 7's lately , but then after breakfast down to 6.5 and around 4 in the afternoon 5.7 .

good morning all :)

layer of sleet frozen on the car this morning, it got cold here during the night ;) Looking slightly warmer and wetter right now, fortunately we're mostly indoors today except for going to mum's for Sunday mid afternoon meal.

Managed a quick trip round 'fibre fest' yesterday though the wind almost blew us over :hilarious: and came away having kept my purchases to one lot of wool and two crochet hooks. Saw some beautiful examples of fibre work, quilts, felted and embroidered pictures, fairisle knitting and even a couple of Orienburg shawls, never seen one of those 'in the flesh' before, only pictures, they're so beautiful, fine and soft.

Don't think the little dog is going to get a long walk today, it's too cold, we may manage a short one though depending on how the weather goes :)
Mr. gee and I have to move the remaining packs of the manufactured 'logs' in mum's shed today to make room for a new delivery. We use them as backup for mum and keep a stack in her porch in case the weather gets bad and it isn't safe for her to be fetching logs from outside. Usually we keep her indoor log supply topped up ourselves when we go over there but last year after the heavy snow we couldn't get out of our village for three days and the back up supply was needed :sorry:

Hope your weekend is going well :)

@PenguinMum hope your son is ok soon and a big hug for you, what a horrible shock.

Morning all . 4.5 on the meter this grey and wet Sunday morning. Today will be a day of preparation for my daughter , her man and their two very small children to stay for the week. I am hoping that sometime the clouds will part, the sun will shine and we can all go to the beach hut and play that French game where you throw large coloured balls at a small one.

Thanks EVERYONE for your good wishes. Heard from hospital his overnight ECGs/bloods were ok so hopefully we will be able to pick him up later. It really was a shock as he’s young, very fit, slim eats well but drinks too much and has a very stressful job. My OH has A Fib and says the story was very similar to what led to his dx. We are grateful he didnt have a car crash.

The news sounds positive.

Good morning from the dark and dangerous north.
A 4.8 on the wheel of surprises, mystery and guffaws at 0700 this morning.
A lazy day today, feet up, pondering on those big questions like how many pets should really be wearing glasses or which letter in the word “scent” is silent?
Have a great day if you can, poke holes in a net to make fewer holes if you can’t.
