What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

good morning all

5.0 this morning

not bad but still the highest it's been since October, woke up with a runny nose and a sore throat this morning so it looks like my liver is busy defending me

We need shopping today, peanuts for the garden birds and coconut oil for me other than that I may stay home in the warm and get on with knitting the aran sweater I started yesterday.

Hope your day treats you kindly

Thanks @Debandez thats what they were considering among other things. Hope your son is fully restored to health now. Ours was discharged yesterday after all ecgs/bloods/x rays were fine. He has to have the echogram as an outpatient and told not to go to gym or running as a precaution until after. They think it may have been a really bad panic attack. He is staying with us for a few days R&R as he is still a bit shaky.

Good luck with Gazette, you will storm it I know!

Please don't tell him he is a fool idiot is a far better description.

Though this could be a time when discretion would be the best part of valor.

Idiot my be a tad kind, it’s pretty low on the scale. A bit 1900 psychology, however;

Idiots.—Those so defective that the mental development never exceeds that or a normal child of about two years.
Imbeciles.—Those whose development is higher than that of an idiot, but whose intelligence does not exceed that of a normal child of about seven years.
Morons.—Those whose mental development is above that of an imbecile, but does not exceed that of a normal child of about twelve years.

However, I would go for morosoph ("a learned fool”)

Great news from the dietician if not the gym fees Selfishly, I picked the part about finding it difficult to stick to long term as at only 3.5 years it is vexatious during the winter - made me feel better. Interestingly, your A1c is lower than mine, but I won't use remission. All in all you had a useful time and maybe I found it more useful then you

Good morning all. Rained and blew most of the night but the weather is currently hiding behind the bins.
Probably waiting for the decorators to arrive and push their ladders up first.

A calm and collected 6 this morning on the guessometer of tricks, treats and mystery prizes.

Have a great day if you can.

They have given him excellent advice @PenguinMum and of course he will be getting the best TLC available. He will be shaken. Will be back on track soon. Anxiety can have shocking consequences. With my son is was a virus. He was in hospital on a morphine drip for almost a week. Fully recovered. No further issues for almost 10 years now. Big hugs to you as I know exactly the anguish you will have been through.

You missed out Cretin another descriptor that may be apt and I don't mean someone with a thyroid problem.

Sounds like a really good appointment with the dietitian. I agree about the ‘cured’ note but I’d love to be a fly on the wall when you tell your GP he’s a fool!

Didn’t want to overdo it - too many choices can lead to confusion and brain freeze - no, that’s ice cream parlours.

5.0 for me earlier this morning. Trying to figure out it I can put off the errands and stay indoors. It looks miserable out.
@PenguinMum I’m glad your son is home with you for a bit of r&r now, and with the dentist to look forward to this afternoon its not at all surprising that your bg is a bit higher that normal. Hope dentist is kind.

Oh dear John...that made me laugh so much...just debating whether to take Harry out...it's just started peeing down here

Stay home DJC...it's miserable out there...I've just got back with the shopping...I've .lit the fire & the coffee is brewing.

So pleased he's home with you PM...good advice however there's nothing like being in the bosom of your family for feeling safe & cared for.

If he's anything like ours I wouldn't even attempt it!! They get to the door and give you the old "***" look! and turn around!!
