Morning all ****ing cold on the beach yesterday but got to play the French game where you throw a little ball then everyone throws a coloured ball to see who gets it closest. This is not as exciting as getting really wet apparently. ( 4 year olds perspective ). We all survived the day to tell the story , only ate veggies all day and I had a 4.2 reading earlier. Thanks @Debandez thats what they were considering among other things. Hope your son is fully restored to health now. Ours was discharged yesterday after all ecgs/bloods/x rays were fine. He has to have the echogram as an outpatient and told not to go to gym or running as a precaution until after. They think it may have been a really bad panic attack. He is staying with us for a few days R&R as he is still a bit shaky.Had a busy few days and missed so much including the news about your son. So sorry to hear about his cardiac event. How is he? My son had one a few years ago. Miopericarditis. Very painful but fully recovered. Sending you big hugs at this worrying time.

Great news from the dietician if not the gym fees@OrsonKartt the ‘best diabetic dietician’ genuinely was that. She apologised for it taking 6 months for an appointment and has said the problem with that is that she has nothing to tell me as my last Hba1c was so good. We spoke in depth about low carb - if I’d seen her straight after diagnosis she would have advised low carb. She discussed that some people find it hard to maintain long term and so to bare in mind that if I were to gain weight and go back to eating what I did before my numbers would most likely go back up. She spent the appointment just singing my praises and saying I was a success story - which feels a little fraudulent to be honest. Maybe if I can keep these levels for the next 10yrs I’ll accept that statement.
She did rather alarmingly say my doctor has written on my notes - diabetes cured!! She stressed this wasn’t the case, and that it would be diabetes in remission as is only down to this way of eating. I’m even dubious to class it as remission after only 1 blood test since diagnosis. My next one is due end of this month and then she said they’ll likely go to 18month bloods just to monitor. Concerned now as I get discount at my local gym as ticked the box as health condition where exercise helps - which is what my doctor told me to do in the beginning!! Now he’s written cured all over my notes if they check on me will I be in trouble?! Going to book an apppintment with my GP for after my next bloods to tell him he’s a fool and that I don’t want cured stated on my file!
They have given him excellent advice @PenguinMum and of course he will be getting the best TLC available. He will be shaken. Will be back on track soon. Anxiety can have shocking consequences. With my son is was a virus. He was in hospital on a morphine drip for almost a week. Fully recovered. No further issues for almost 10 years now.
