Amazing results and well justified. Not going to lie about being green with envy but also can't lie I couldn't eat or work as hard as you either. You deserve all the likes/winners coming your way.Hello all. Busy day yesterday, so didn't get to post. Fasting blood sugars were 4.5 yesterday and 4.4 today.
Also gave my GP a call yesterday morning and asked to pick up my blood test results. Was so happy to see HbA1c in the 20s (actual result was 29) for the first time since low carbing. Also, liver test was fine, no change from the time when I only had one glass of wine a week. So, lots of reason to celebrate, which we did last night.
@DJC3, @PenguinMum, and @dogslife -- Thanks so very much for your kind words. Definitely felt like a pin cushion after that morning -- might half gone through close to half a container of test strips in half a day. In the evening, blood sugars had returned to stability.
@SB.25 -- Wow, what a huge drop in your HbA1c -- really well done.
Wonderful sunny day today and temperatures going up into the higher teens. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

I was extremely tired, could have fell asleep on a clothes line, and for the first time ever I felt like my head was full of cotton wool. The night time was the worst as I was worried about ketones and such, but then around midnight, down went my readings! It's definitely been a strange one, last three weeks its been low all the time then this, just goes to show you how complex and sometimes unpredictable diabetes is, if it can stump Consultants what chance do we have. Well apart from living it, I get my new pump on Monday so will be having a conversation with my Nurse to ask what's actually happening as "Well sometimes Diabetes does as it wants" isn't really the best answer.
Those cowboy culture places sound fascinating. You obviously love horses and must have had some great times around them. I hope you get to go there for a vacation if you can. I’m off to chop veg for supper so see you soon.Hi, @PenguinMum . The KittenCat and I are having a nice quiet restful Friday, waiting for a maintenance man to come and fix the living room ceiling light. Since it's now 3:30 I guess he won't make it today. I will give him another hour and then take off out to pick up a prescription and maybe something more exciting for supper than half a smoked chicken. The grocery store has delicious battered cod on Fridays.
I have been amusing myself by looking at websites of cities that are good for retirees and also known for their "cowboy culture." I probably won't move to any as they are all west of the Mississippi, but it's nice to think of at least vacationing in a place where there are not only horse people but honest-to-goodness cowboys (I hear they're actually still gentlemen -- even in the 21st century!)

@jjraak I was wondering where you were today. Glad you're OK!
Hello to Basil and Sweetie (lovely calico!). Love the arty sunrise (sunset?) photo. Are those fishing boats?
Sounds divine!! Have a wonderfully relaxing day!!5.0 this morning. I’ve got a lovely day ahead - a pre birthday treat with a friend, we are having a spa day: Champagne at hers to begin with and lunch at the spa, a facial at some point and a lot of lollopping around in the jacuzzi, sauna etc. They have a heated outdoor pool as well which sounds lovely.
Hope you all have a great day too.
