What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.9 this morning. I used less long-term insulin because of the hot weather. Obviously, didn't need to. I'll increase it back to the normal dose tonight.
 
5.7 at 06:33a.m yesterday.
This morning two results: Couldn't sleep got up at 4:46 FBG was 5.3. Sat a little, drank a cup of hot water then went back to bed. Next test 07:29 5.5. Have a good day everyone.
 
6.4. Sleepless with a huge infected insect bite on ankle, and an allergic reaction. Last day of holiday will be resting with foot elevated, preparing to travel home.
 
So much for hoping to keep in the 6's a 7.2 this am though I did only have 5 hrs sleep and it was only 10 hr fast . I thought ok I'll wait another 2 hrs before eating anything and re test ...well all I can say is that my liver must think I have a heavy day ahead cos my nxt reading was 8.4 !

Hope people don't mind me sharing this but I am so happy I cannot keep it to myself. Phoned for my blood results, they have come back at 39! Didn't dare hope for that. Apparently cholesterol has risen but was expecting that. Doc has put NFA (No further action) on notes whatever that means I shall find out on 6th August when I have a review. Thanks to all the contributors on this thread, it has certainly kept me motivated.
