Thanks for the tag @DJC3. Yes my blood sugars were much higher than usual when I had Covid. Here is an example. 8th December. It was the day I felt so bad I decided to book in at Dr next day. I felt Nauseous all day. We had tickets for a show. Front row seats. Eric took me to dinner first to see if he could get me to eat something. I faffed around with my food and ended up taking it home for my son, no show, taxi home. I remember my blood sugars being high for a few days and nothing to do with food. More to do with no food I think. I lost 5lbs. I only have this graph saved to show as an example. I'm usually well within the green area.

Sorry to hear you got the virus. Hope you feel better soon. My son and has gf have tested positive and are isolating. He works for 111. Its sweeping through the office (14 infected) but nobody really poorly. My son started with a temperature and slight cough then a headache. Tested positive. He has since lost his sense of smell and taste. His girlfriend who he lives with got the headache. Not bad. Then a few days in lost sense of taste and smell. They are feeling fine now, so much so they are decorating their front room as they can't go out!

    7.4 this morning.

Seems the morning are consistently an issue for me, but I only found out I was diabetic at the start of September when my fasting glucose was 19.7 so I’m happy with that for now

    Good morning all.

Welcome to the forum, @Chriztopher. I see this is your first post. Your morning results are good given that you are only one month in. Congrats and well done for cutting them by close to two-thirds already. For me, it took about half a year for fasting levels to truly normalize (while levels during the rest of the day were already good).

    Fasting levels today were 4.4.

    Morning All. 6.4 today.
@Ryhia thanks for the support, since this started I havent felt able to take my usual vits because of nausea and taste issues. Today I seem to have upset tummy which may or may not be linked to the virus. Just grateful not to be worse.

    Hi @Chriztopher,

I've just seen you're LADA. So, please ignore the second half of my comment as it may not apply to you (as higher fasting levels for T2s are generally due to insulin resistance). Still, you've certainly done a great job bringing your levels down by so much.

Mine after fasting 12 hours varies between 4.8 and 6.4 mmol/L normally in the low 5’s. My Hba1c one is 6 which I understand is just okay.

Some people do have tummy issues so it may be the virus but you just keep a positive attitude and look forward to feeling well soon. Then reward yourself with a treat.

4.6 this morning. This doesn't reflect my crazy night of MM alarms widely out of whack for no reason. My BS was close to 5 all night with finger prinks, yet my x-Drip said 8, then 3, then 7.5, then 3.1. You have to love a new sensor. At least I was safe. Sleepless but safe. I hope everyone is having a great day.

7.5 this morning, which is frustrating as it was 5.9 before bed / 2 hours after dinner last night

6.2 this morning. No idea why I’m back in the 6s. I’ll go to the gym today and hope that fixes it.
