What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Monday, Monday so ???? to me. A serviceable/beige 5.1 from Swipey today which fits the cooler, misty day here. Glad you enjoyed Bath @PenguinMum and eschewed lovely Rita (the) meter (maid) - I didn't like the Beatles actually. @ultradad enjoy Torquay - English Riviera - really didn't appeal to me (lacked the "refinement" of Southwold or Padstow imho) but I'm a rum cove. @RosemaryJackson, yes, yes but were the desserts lush? Do enjoy today safely. Thermal Go Team D clothing washed, ironed and ready to wear here:arghh:

9.4 this morning ... largely my fault due to a carb heavy sunday and a few beers. Perhaps alittle too cautious on units. On the plus side managed to get down to a much better 5.8 by lunch.

Hello, I am new to the forum and will like to learn the measurements posted. In the US my reading in the morning is around 100, which is within the normal range. In the UK measurements what is considered normal fasting measurement and also what is AIC reading to be considered diabetic. Thanks

US to UK devide by 18 so your readings in UK measurements would be 100/18 = about 5.55 recurring or rounded up 5.6

Over here HbA1c 49 and over would be in diabetes range 42 to 48 would be prediabetes and below 42 be non diabetic

A normal fasting will vary from person to person but 5.6 would probably fit the bill

Greetings all battling The D - don't lose sight of what it does and why we do this. Swipey showed 4.9, implying by luck or judgement I somehow kept my side of the bargain yesterday. @RosemaryJackson for you lushness abounds in desserts. For me I've never really liked desserts so my droolage would be spectacularly insignificant. I sometimes suffer spontaneous Super Salmon Salad salivation. We all have identities individually crafted by God. Our fingerprints are unique so why be amazed if we don't have our own best way to manage this problem? @mojo37, @Estragon and @PenguinMum huge respect for not applying filters. DD - exhausted just reading about your days.
