What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Well your fasting number is good and maybe try with one piece of bread instead of 2 , now if I could only follow my own advise eh lol

BG this morning @4.55am 7.6
evening meal was Vegatables and beef casserole with extra veggies on side like Brussels sprouts and green beans
but carrots but very few in casserole. It has to be the carrots they way my BG is reacting to them recently, I’ve been trying to get an appointment with my doctor for nearly a week only last night I got a message to say he is on annual leave for three weeks. But not referred to another doctor in practice K

5.6 at 4.45am, last nights tea a treat of Keriyacki Kebab meat from a kebab shop with a little BBQ sauce (naughty) but plenty of salad and no pitta bread. eaten before 7pm followed by a sugar free jelly and Raspberry Lindahls Kvarg.

7.2 - Well, there’s a thing, I had a spike of 10.3 before bed, Cottage pie (sparse mash on top) and carrots did it for me. But after sleep a 7.2, I can live with that.

Just want to say, again, what a great bunch of individuals we are, giving support to each other.
 
Just for fun - fasting level 4,7 at 2.09pm late pre lunch test yesterday, having eaten nothing but a little "midnight" treat of 1/2 jar of hazelnut butter embellished with a bit extra crunch, cocoa and erythritol, after previous meal finished at 5pm the day before. I don't often go this low so I'll maybe remedy this by having a few more midnight feasts....: :hungry::hungry: o_O

I'm not measuring ketones because I'm almost out of testing strips.
Do you ever "taste" your ketones? I've found at higher (though generally untested levels) I'll get a slightly sweet taste in my mouth.
 
Morning all, 5.0 this morning bit of a shock but I think it from alcohol that i consumed last night at a work event, no pints just spirits and coke zero . Would I be correct in saying body has prioritises processing the alcohol giving a lower fbg?? Enjoy your day folks

Ah yes you did I saw the 2 and thought bread not hrs .
 
4.7 again this morning. I seem to be stuck on that number!

No I don't taste them although I remember the first time I made an effort to 'go into ketosis' I was aware of them on my breath for a week or so. Over time measured levels seem to settle down and there's very little excess/spilling.
