What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I did squeeze out most of the juice so probably halved the carb value but it was quite a large orange. If you do decide to experiment I hope you have a good result.

Morning all, 6.8 for me this morning, down from 8.9 last night. Given all the carbs I have reduced and the level of daily exercise I am undertaking I am disappointed my sugars are not lower.
How many carbs are you eating a day? And how long have you been diagnosed? Both have a bearing on things however just to share my experience (and everyone is different) - I found my FBG gradually reduced over a period of months but strangely it seemed to come down in phases, I'd go for a while at a particular level then, for no apparent reason, or so it seemed to me, I'd start seeing lower numbers. So frustrating!

I still have not managed to achieve FBG levels that are consistently within non-diabetic levels i.e. under 5.5, but after 4 years my HbA1c blood results continue to be in "normal" range so I'm ok with that.

Feel for you in your Nova Scotian cold spell.

I'm the same . Fbg varies , mostly 6s with a few 5s but hba1c comes in at 39.

I've just looked back to see if there are any differences between fbg now and when I first started testing back in 2020, and no, still 5s and 6s.

I still test daily, don't know why, but am reassured if I get a 5 or 6. A 4 makes me smile, a 7 makes me frown, but that's all. I too am ok

Morning all, 6.4 for me this morning. The low 6 is likely down to the fact that I felt nauseous all day, due to 'glutening' myself after taking a bite from an Island bar (similar to a Bounty bar) which contained gluten, the previous day . Of course I puked it up but the damage was done. So nothing to eat. Despite that my bedtime figure was 9.6

Two days of 4.8 is the best my body could manage. @PenguinMum hug for being sick and @DEBBIESCOTT I'm not in the least jealous of you and anyone else that can exercise to a sensible level now I need Noel Fitzpatrick to operate on humans Trying to control bg largely via diet is ok - except for the food. Super Salmon Salad today so
