What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all , missed last couple of mornings posting. FBG For Sat and Sun 7.1 and 7.2 . This morning is 7.7 . More than I was expecting as I had a good day and also did a 10km walk.
Off to gym now to reduce these numbers. Enjoy your day folks
 
Morning All. 8.2 due to being very hungry yesterday and giving in to a packet of Ready Salted before supper. I stopped buying peanuts for the same reason But they would have made a better choice :( @mojo37 me too! @Estragon hugs as ever and cheering you on all the way. @Ryhia the infection sounds horrible and doubtless is pushing your BG up. Mine have been a range from 6.7 to 7.2 still after a few months of low carb and not eating after 7pm usually, will just keep doing what I am doing in the hope that it eventually comes down. After a few hours I get a lower reading sometimes but usually still high 5s.

Prediabetic, or possibly actually diabetic, I have not been diagnosed as diabetic by my GP just pre. wanted to see if I could reverse it myself before I go back.

I like to keep a bag of mixed nuts in the fridge for those hungry times
 
Have you taken advantage of the Freestyle Libre 2 free sample? It might prove insightful.
Could well be worth starting a thread outlining where those carbs come from and any changes to routine, meds or other factors - stress, bugs, poor sleep etc so more members could offer opinions/insights. Maybe a passing mod could help?
Breakfast 2 boiled eggs with smoked salmon or a mushroom omlette, lunch is a salad with mixed leaves, olives, cucumber, celery, a small amount of beetroot, tomato, red pepper and half an avocado which has a small amount of carbs. I have a few unsalted nuts such as walnuts and brazils in the afternoon. Evening meal is usually chicken or fish with veg such as broccoli/ leek/ carrot/ , aubergine parmigiana, dal with vegetable side dishes ( spicy cauliflower tonight). I will have 1tbs brown basmati rive with my dal. I have a small portion of berries after dinner, As I say not many carbs
