What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Thank you all for the virtual hugs xxxx I am taking paracetamol/codeine before bed to get me through the night. Not really taking much during the day just taking it easy and using those picnic frozen icepacks - who knew they would come in so handy ;) A friend suggested margarine to which I replied I have none and would not slather that on my behind!

Thank you

Missed the post mentioning your anniversary - Congratulations. Hope you enjoy the celebrations.

7.1 this morning a better result, I was tucked up in bed at 8:30pm as I was so shattered. Feel a bit better this morning so hopefully I should be on the way down bg wise soon. Bit gloomy here today, where has the sun gone!

7.9 at 6.30am, 7.2 at 8.30am. Dawn and her phenomenon strikes again,

Those are pretty high numbers for me. I'm beginning to realise that waking up at 6am in a bit of a sweat is not the remnants of the menopause as I'd assumed but is more than likely to be related to the DP. Not that I can do anything about it. I'm keeping a lid on the carbs and did some gentle exercise yesterday, but its hard to know what else I can try.

Congratulations to you both. How come you don't look a day over 45? Must be all that exercise.

Morning All. Forgot to test and now I’ve eaten my LC toast! Am a bit shocked (and relieved) my A1c has come in at 36. Considering my awful FBG it doesn’t make sense at all. Good luck @Ryhia. Stay well all, have a good Saturday.
Great news on the A1c so now relax over the Len Goodmans

Really rubbish bloods this morning - showing 6.6 on the meter. Tried again but it was no better. Hoping things improve. tomorrow.
Well bloods haven't improved today, rather they came out in sympathy with @Lainie71 and measured 7.1. At least I am in good company. :) My excuse, - I couldn't sleep - I felt as if I was awake the whole night. Mind was all over the place. thinking about trivia. Got up 5.45 and decided to Vax the living room carpet! Its now 3:00 in the afternoon and I'm weary but still not really tired. Bloods continue to be higher than I would like but there is nothing I can do about it, so just decided to chill. Tomorrow is another day. Hope its a good one. :)

5.6 (!)
After 6 days in Paris with family, and then a missed connection flight Sunday evening that sent us on a merry trip of 4 airports in 12 hours yesterday, I was unsure of how the stress would affect my bgl. Didn’t test at all on holiday, but tried to be as low carb as I could while eating out at restaurants favored by teenagers. We did walk an average of 19 000 steps and 15 flights of stairs (hotel was on Montmartre.)
