What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Been trying to catch up on posts since my holidays. Gave up eventually as you guys keep posting more and more....;) Never mind, you know you are all winners don't you? And its good to see some new posters sharing our journey.
Didn't test much whilst I was in Florida - When I did test my FBGs were in the 7s which was a bit of a shocker but I think the heat and humidity might have affected the test strips. Plus we were averaging over 17,000 steps a day and my blood sugars tend to rise with exercise. I did lose 2 kilos in weight though so that was good. Anyway arrived back home on the 13th, had a few days to relax and get over jet lag, then we were off to my son's in Wiltshire for a week to celebrate my grand daughter's 5th birthday. Good to be back home now. I did try to eat low carb whilst I was away which was not too difficult in the US as there are plenty of keto goods around it was a little more difficult at son's although he did try to accommodate me. Anyway back on the wagon now and a work in progress.

FBG was 5.5 this morning but that's a false low after a glass of chardonnay last night.

Hello and welcome back. Wondered where you were. Good to know it was purely holidays that have kept you away.

Congratulations on keeping to the straight and narrow; usually even more of a challenge when you're away from home!
